The measure fails with about 35% of the vote, and in November, when the constitutional amendment is on the ballot, it wins with 65% of the vote. That'll show the GOPigs that the people are against their BS.
With all this recent news about AI I got thinking.
It appears that AI is getting better, more difficult to distinguish from what I call natural intelligence. We see reports of students using apps like ChatGPT to write papers, in essence, cheating in ways that are difficult to distinguish. I saw a report yesterday of a robot which could hold a conversation with a human being. And, of course, there was the story earlier this week where some were worried that AI will result in the extinction of the human race. But it brought to mind Harlan Ellison's story, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. He wrote it in 1967!
A poem for Memorial Day

It's so nice to have a President who knows how to work an umbrella.
My advice for Kevin
Not that he's likely to take it, is to reach out to Hakeem to see if the Dems can muster enough votes to make him Speaker. He would have to make a lot of concessions, but I suspect that they could be less abhorrent than the ones he has to make to MTG and her crowd. It could, perhaps, usher in a new era of bipartisanship in the House, which would be a good thing for the American people.
Chairman Bennie Thompson appreciation thread
His leadership of the J6 committee has been masterful.
