trof's JournalInstant pot chili
Browned the meat (stew meat. $6.99/lb. whew!)in a skillet first.
The saute' setting on the IP ain't that great for large quantities.
Threw it all in the IP with dried pinto beans, a beer, another cup of water for the beans, 1 package of Wick Fowler's 2 Alarm Chili Kit. Added a small can of chopped green chilis and a softened, chopped poblano.
Ready in about 30 minutes, dried beans and all.
FANTASTIC!
Maybe best chili I've ever made.
What weird foods have you eaten?
Not that you preferred it, but you ate it anyway.
I'll go first.
A sheep's brains and eyeball.
In Rome, on a restaurant's antipasto table, a half sheep's (lamb's?) head.
Right down the middle of the head.
Front to back.
Even had the teeth.
I was showing off.
Don't remember what it tasted like.
You?
Is an air fryer worth it?
