Ken loves democracy so much he wants to buy Illinois a governor more to his liking then current Governor J.B Pritzker. Griffen spent over$36 million in the last two governor's races supporting defeated gov Bruce Rauner. Back the F off Ken Illinois is not your play thing. Democracy is not for sale.

I am WI born and raised, but now live in the flatland's, so I am short on real information. Can some of you help me sort out which of the potential candidates deserve support?

Florida judge dismisses fraud lawsuit against DNC

A year-long legal battle over the Democratic National Committee’s handling of the 2016 presidential primary came to an end Friday, with a federal judge in Florida dismissing a class-action suit brought by supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
“To the extent Plaintiffs wish to air their general grievances with the DNC or its candidate selection process, their redress is through the ballot box, the DNC’s internal workings, or their right of free speech — not through the judiciary,” Judge William Zloch, a Reagan appointee, wrote in his dismissal. “To the extent Plaintiffs have asserted specific causes of action grounded in specific factual allegations, it is this Court’s emphatic duty to measure Plaintiffs’ pleadings against existing legal standards. Having done so . . . the Court finds that the named Plaintiffs have not presented a case that is cognizable in federal court.”

Both Sides DON'T
One side came in army fatigues riot gear and with loaded weapons. The other side came with ideals messages and American flags. One side killed and injured people. The other side caused damage to a bumper with their bodies.
The far right is a much bigger problem then it would otherwise be, because the media does not want to criticize them. The corporate media is as much at fault here as the damned nazis.
How progressives can ( and probably will ) blow the next election
Please prove me wrong, but I think the math of the next election is against electing more progressives to the house and Senate. Here is what I see locally. ( burbs of Chicago).
The DCCC has declared some of the seat as targets. They are out requiting candidates of their own. Not surprisingly the people I suspect kind of look like they are cut from a pattern. Moderates, with a mixed D & R voting record in primaries. They are quickly, after announcing, endorsed by sitting moderate Democrats. Served on the staff of moderate Democrats or some mix of several of these indicators. Still there is great enthusiasm for progressive candidates among the new precinct members. A lot of the new progressive resistance groups have put forth their own candidates. In fact we are lousy with congressional candidates. The trouble with that is math. Anyone the DCCC has chosen is going to have money for 4 color glossy mailers. You may have already seen their facebook adds. The progressives are going to have a lot of people out canvasing, but not all that much money each since their are many of them.
So in my humble opinion what we are going to see is several progressives spiting that wing of the parties vote while the moderate DCCC person waltzes through the primary with a modicum of support and a weak slate of values.We could have a plethora of failed progressive candidate and a demoralized bass of activists, come the general election.
So that is my nightmare scenario. What do we do?
So if Russia really did interfere in the election, why would they stop then?
If the purpose of their interference was to create disunity in the Democratic party is there any reason to think they would stop on the day of the election? Of course not. Are there agent provocateurs here? how about on social media? What woudl they look like in each case?
Trumps "War" against the media.
You're kiddin me right? WAR? Trump received, according to MediaQuant, over $5 Billion in free media. This as compared to HRC's $3 Billion. This is a war against Trump? 30 minutes of air time for Trumps empty podium? That's a war AGAINST him?
Then there is the Comey incident. First he spent 15 minuets giving an announcement that there would be no charges. Well the no charges part was maybe 15 seconds of the announcement. The rest was denouncing Clinton with evidence that was not prosecute-able. Have you ever and I mean ever heard a prosecute go on about someone they were NOT prosecuting? If one had and it was not a public figure that would be reason for a libel suite. This denouncement got plenty of air time by a supposedly Clinton friendly media. Then there was the Comey letter itself. Was there ever such an uproar from the media about so much nothing? Essentially the letter said that someone Hillery Clinton sent emails too, gasp, received them. So F'n what? Did the media make any effort to point that out? NO. Did they make anywhere near the noise about the next weekends "never mind" statement from the FBI? No.
This is a media at war with Trump? We have to (a) stay on the media's back to report honestly and fairly. (b) be our own media as much as we can in our resistance to the Trump University Establishment.
