Trump firsts...

August 19, 2018

I have a confession to make...

I'm a dog person.

Cats are OK, I guess... But my heart is for the pooches.

I'm sure that some of you will never forgive me for my apparent indiscretion... Being a dog person in the Realm of Felininity, but I just had to be honest about it.

If you can't find it in your heart to forgive me, I do understand.

In spite of that, I declare that I have nothing to apologize for.

Here's a video with a textbook example of police racial profiling in Des Moines, IA...

Heads up, no one will be shot or beaten in this video, thank gawd. But even knowing that, it'll raise your blood pressure to watch this mess anyway.

It's clearly obvious that the only reason that the car was stopped was because the driver and passenger were black. There wasn't even a traffic infraction. There was no reasonable suspicion that any crime had been committed at all, other than the crime of existing in Des Moines, IA while black.

A complete fishing expedition.

After the cops flashed its lights on the vehicle and it came to a complete and immediate stop:

- The cops immediately and falsely accused the men of possessing weapons and narcotics

- Lied, saying that they "smelled" marijuana... There was no marijuana, the men didn't even smoke

- Repeatedly asked them if they owned the car

- Demanded the car's key fob be turned over

- Didn't even bother to run the driver's license, registration and insurance before body searching them and detaining them in the back of the squad vehicle

- Conducted a search of the vehicle without any consent whatsoever, including the empty trunk

- Repeatedly threatened them with arrest for asking why they were stopped in the first place

- Never gave any reason for the stop or why they were being detained other than saying, "Because I said so"

- Attempted to coerce a confession of having possessed narcotics when there were no drugs in the car at all

- And then watch out where the cop tried to gaslight the men and tried to buddy up with them at the end.

This is pretty much some of the worst policing I've ever seen in my entire life:

This is why they kneel. And yet, some wypipo will still have the nerve to question why black people can't trust the police. Of course, the Cops-Are-Never-Wrong crowd has already gone out of their way to defend this bullshit... Check out the video's YouTube comments, if you have the stomach.

Racial profiling is bad, unjust and incompetent policing, right there on video and as plain as the nose on your face.

Fact Check: Trump Overstated His Role In African-American Job Gains

It shouldn't be a surprise at this point that he lies about everything.

By Associated Press -August 16, 2018

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is taking unjustified credit for recent job gains by black Americans even as he defends himself against claims of racism.

Trump and his administration argue he’s done more to help the economic well-being of minorities than Barack Obama, the country’s first and only black president.

The implication is that Obama struggled to create jobs for his fellow minorities, while Trump has a sterling jobs record.

Trump has also frequently touted that black unemployment is at a record low. But that figure is volatile on a monthly basis. After achieving a record low of 5.9 percent in May, it has since jumped back up to 6.6 percent.

Trump is taking credit he doesn’t deserve for job growth, according to many economists who view the continued growth since the middle of 2009 as the primary explanation for the recent hiring. More important, there are multiple signs that the racial wealth gap is now worsening and the administration appears to have done little, if anything, to specifically address this challenge.

“To identify a single indicator of employment as an indicator of economic health is, at best, incomplete,” said Darrick Hamilton, a professor of economics at the New School in New York City. “It is intentionally deceptive to focus only on that indicator.”

I'm doing my radio show tomorrow

It’ll be in tribute to the late Great Aretha Franklin, of course.

Due to the fact that Mixcloud limits the number of tracks by any particular artist to three, I’m considering one of many of Aretha’s tracks to end the show. I want it to be something special, which is pretty hard to pick because all of her songs are special.

I’d appreciate some suggestions from all of you, if you don’t mind.
