Just call it Dunkin'.

Starting in January, Dunkin' Donuts will drop the "Donuts" from ads, packages and signage at new and remodeled stores, as well as its social media accounts.

The makeover is part of Dunkin' Brand's efforts to relabel itself as a "beverage-led" company that focuses on coffees, teas, speedy service and to-go food including -— but not limited to — doughnuts.

Dunkin' says that beverages, especially coffee, make up 60% of the company's US sales.

"Our new branding is one of many things we are doing as part of our blueprint for growth to modernize the Dunkin' experience for our customer," said Dunkin' Brands (DNKN)CEO David Hoffmann in a statement Tuesday.

The Party of Rape strikes again!

North Dakota GOP Senate nominee: I'm not sure trying to rape someone should disqualify you from SCOTUS https://www.rawstory.com/?p=1357894 via rawstory

Yay GOPrs.

More Republican excuses for rape to come.
September 25, 2018

I really have no idea why GOPrs can't conceive of the fact that rape is a bad thing...

It's as if they're pathologically incapable of understanding that concept.

They find so many ways of mitigating, excusing and even justifying the rape of women (especially.)

They like to emphasize the sexual aspect of sexual assault as if the sexual part was merely a misunderstanding.

They put the majority of the blame on the victims, again especially women, for the rapes having occurred.

They have this strange habit of considering how the life of the rapists could be ruined, after being identified as alleged rapists, and heaping scorn on the alleged rapists' victims.

I will never in a million years understand why these people are assholes about this and a host of so many other things.

But there you have it.

It's like being a GOPr is carte blanche for people who love to be on the wrong side of history about everything.

Some Worry About Judicial Nominee’s Ties to a Religious Group

By Laurie Goodstein
Sept. 28, 2017

One of President Trump’s judicial nominees became something of a hero to religious conservatives after she was grilled at a Senate hearing this month over whether her Roman Catholic faith would influence her decisions on the bench.

The nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, a law professor up for an appeals court seat, had raised the issue herself in articles and speeches over the years. The Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee zeroed in on her writings, and in the process prompted accusations that they were engaged in religious bigotry.

“The dogma lives loudly within you,” declared Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California, in what has become an infamous phrase. Senator Orrin Hatch, Republican of Utah, accused his colleagues of employing an unconstitutional “religious test” for office.

Ms. Barrett told the senators that she was a faithful Catholic, and that her religious beliefs would not affect her decisions as an appellate judge. But her membership in a small, tightly knit Christian group called People of Praise never came up at the hearing, and might have led to even more intense questioning.

I think that we all know why GOPrs love to be racist, sexist, hypocritical assholes...

It’s because, a long time ago, they’ve tried to pretend to live lives as decent human beings, but they were punished for it.

They figured out that stealing votes, pandering to the white majority’s fears and prejudices and whoring themselves out to oligarchs and religious con-artists was much more lucrative.

When it comes right down to it, they see everything in the world is about the money and power that they feel that they’re entitled to. The people are just obstacles in their way or just rubes to be exploited.

...And everything else and everyone else be damned.

Well, Times they-are-a-changing and they can see that well all know that the jig is up, so they’re going about stealing as much as they can now and rigging the system in order to keep as much as they’ve stolen before they bail.

Rats raiding the pantry before leaving a sinking ship, as it were.

When we finally get the chance to take over the books we’re going to see just how much they’ve hosed us all. And they’re going to use any effort to correct misdeeds and recoupe what they’ve stolen to lie about us in order to regain power so they can steal and cheat some more.

That’s not a sustainable model for a thriving nation. It’s a recipe for a dying, failing empire.

It’s why the Republican Party needs to be destroyed and their ideals tossed on the ash heap of history.

The people are speaking.
