GPV's JournalAnyone willing to look over these YouTube lists I made meant to lure younger son
back to drawing? He's still in Amsterdam, so I thought travel and urban sketching would be a good focus. Here's list one. The others are linked in the description.

Any Boston peeps around? I might be coming down in mid-August. The Gardener is on my list. What
else should a watercolorist see, and what abt good stores for art, vinyl, etc? Anything near BU?
Sketched yesterday in my local bookstore. So many lovely corners offer a multitude of vignettes.
My camping entries in my adventure journal.
For Xmas, Tim gave me an adventure journal, which I promptly applied paint to and then proceeded to plan some adventures. It's not watercolor paper, so I've been using my Strathmore Visual mini and cutting out pictures to paste in the new book. Here are the 3 I chose for the Georgetown entry. Mostly watercolor w some watercolor pencil. Been trying to learn to love water brushes as well. I don't, really.
Me and my mess. Our most important bags as a writer and artist. :) Watercolor, w/c pencils, gouache,
and ink in my Strathmore 500. I'm taking this set-up to Reid State Park after lunch. I wish I had an umbrella. Gonna be a scorcher!!
After a long car ride spent playing with watercolors and pencils, am now at Sagadahoc Bay Campground
We're supposed to get rain tomorrow so while Tim writes I'll either be reading in bed or painting in the screen porch. The Art Goddess bag is in the tent along with my new Strathmore w/c journal. (Which I almost forgot to pack!! It was new and precious, and therefore in a "safe place." I had wanted to apply ground to the pages of the adventure journal, but life kept getting in the way of buying some. I'm going to paste in visual journal pages for now. And I stopped at Skidompha and paid $5 for the "Sketch!" book.

Started out as a plein air sketch..
On our last Acadia jaunt, I didn't just snap photos. I also plonked myself down on a stadium cushion perched on the edge of a ledge. I had stuffed my "everything-but-the-kitchen-sink" art goddess bag into my little osprey backpack, so I settled in and attempted to sketch the beach in pencil and watercolor. Finally finished it all these days later. LOL
Seen in Bar Harbor, painted in Blue Hill. Going to try it in gouache next, then a mix of transparent
and gouache.
Anyone with Go Fund ME experience? FIL's death benefit
might cover a third of the cost. Maybe a smidge more if the checking acct is available.
