This is a great interview. I may not agree with Adam Kinzinger on many issues, but he is ethical and intelligent.
Nicolle Wallace just hit the nail on the head
In covering Jack Smith’s new filing to gag Trump, she posed the question she faces, how should the media, including her own show, discuss what Trump posts and what he says. Giving him a platform allows Trump to give orders to his base.
Allowing Trump a platform, without calling him out on his lies, gives him the ability to taint the jury pool and threaten those involved in the cases he has been indicted. Kristen Welker and NBC, need to think twice about airing the interview on MTP this weekend.
Nicolle’s show today was amazing. You can see and hear her frustration and she is correct, a second Trump term would eliminate her job and the job of everyone at MSNBC and the rest of the news organizations that provide factually correct news.

Fundamentalists are planning to take over the country. I follow a woman on Instagram, Tia Levings, who left the evangelical church and she shares her experiences and educates those who are unaware just what the religious zealots want to do. I’d never heard of it, so I Googled. I’ve been paying attention to Trump’s multiple indictments and other world news, but I’ve completely missed hearing about Project 2025. Truly sick stuff. This next election is so very important.

House Bill 2426, once signed, will bring the ban to an immediate end.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Gov. Tina Kotek’s office has confirmed that the self-serve gas bill, awaiting her signature since it passed with bipartisan support in June, will receive her approval on Friday.
Once House Bill 2426 receives the governor’s signature, it will bring the ban – in place since the 1950s – to an immediate end.
The bill allows gas stations across the state to give drivers the option to either pump their own gas or have an attendant do it. It also requires that gas cost the same amount no matter what service a person chooses and does not allow stations to have more self-service pumps than attendant-service pumps.

Board of Education and Dred Scott v. Sandford as a defining moment for our history and our values as a people. And yet, federal law will prevent all but a handful of Americans from actually seeing what is happening in the trial. We will be relegated to perusing cold transcripts and secondhand descriptions. The law must be changed.
While many states allow cameras in courtrooms, federal courts generally do not. Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 53 states: “Except as otherwise provided by a statute or these rules, the court must not permit the taking of photographs in the courtroom during judicial proceedings or the broadcasting of judicial proceedings from the courtroom.” Whatever the virtues of this rule might have been when it was adopted in 1946, it is beyond antiquated today. We live in a digital age, where people think visually and are accustomed to seeing things with their own eyes.
A criminal trial is all about witnesses and credibility, and the demeanor of participants plays a big role. A cold transcript cannot convey the emotion on a defendant’s face when a prosecution witness is on the stand, or how he walks into the courtroom each day.
Most important, live (or near-live) broadcasting lets Americans see for themselves what is happening in the courtroom and would go a long way toward reassuring them that justice is being done. They would be less vulnerable to the distortions and misrepresentations that will inevitably be part of the highly charged, politicized discussion flooding the country as the trial plays out. Justice Louis Brandeis’s observation that “sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants” is absolutely apt here.

Elenor Mak said the idea for the company came to her last year when her 2-year-old daughter wanted a new doll, but she couldn’t find any that looked like her.
So Mak created a company called Jilly Bing to create a line of authentic dolls that not only celebrate Asian-American culture and heritage, but more accurately reflects the physical appearance of Asian children. Jilly is derived from the name of Mak’s daughter, Jillian, while "bing" comes from the Mandarin word for cookie.
“She just gasped in delight,” Mak said. “She’s like ‘Jilly, that’s me. She looks like me.’ She pointed at the doll’s black eyes, black hair. She says ‘Black, like me, like Jilly. She looks like me.’ She hugged the doll so hard.”
