I was here on DU for A Long Time, moved to Chicago, moved back home to Florida, got divorced, became A Giant Asshole and shit the bed here, then decided to leave for everyone's benefit. Without completely hitting bottom, I somehow got a job with The Man and did my best to make the world a better place, despite the insane, fascist agenda of the ruling politicos. I got remarried, got my new wife some necessary surgeries and eventually she got us both the fuck out of Florida; her English degree landed her a better paying position in Iowa than I was making as a mid-manager in Florida government.
Did You Know: Employees of the State of Florida are paid less than those of every other state in the Union. No Shit.
