madmom's JournalOK so Kasich is willing to expand medicaid in Ohio, but
there are lawsuits trying to stop it. When will we know anything for sure, does anyone have any idea of a time frame here?
Why am I not surprised???
This place gets worse everyday, I think a 3 day "vacation" was not nearly enough!
WOOHOO..I did it!!!..
I just finished a 2 1/2 mile walk. As of yesterday's weigh in, I have lost 75 pounds.
This time last year I had trouble walking from my recliner to the car, it hurt my knees so much, now......
I am seriously thinking of signing up for a 5k walk/run my town is having in Oct. I think I can do it, I really want to! I'm really starting to love the new me?
If a husband and wife both sign
a lease, can the landlord evict just one of them. Landlord is uncle of wife, says husband has to go, she and kids can stay. Nothing illegal was done to cause eviction. Also it was not a legal eviction notice, just word of mouth from uncle. Can he be forced to leave his kids?
Has to do with this situation.... http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023446588
Question for DU legal eagles...
About two years ago I posted about how my daughter-in-law and her father took her and my three granddaughters from their home in Ohio to "visit" their grandparents in Maryland. My son did not go because he had to work. After arriving the wife called and informed my son that they were not coming back, because she did not like Ohio. After some heavy soul searching my son decided to move there and try to reunite his family. They got back together, but now are having problems again because wife got custody of 14 year old daughter from 1st marriage and the girl has been nothing but trouble. Son lost job because of going to court so much. The 14 year is habitual run away does everything in her power to disrupt the family.
Today is my middle grand daughters birthday and the 14 year is being a drama queen because she is not the center of attention. The 9 year birthday girl is quite upset, she called me crying because.."everyone is fighting on my birthday".
My question is..what kind of legal trouble would son get into if he just picked up and brought his daughters back to Ohio? He has a job and a place to stay waiting for him. Wife refuses to move. She does not work, refuses to learn to drive, but is making demands he and the girls can't and shouldn't have to live with.
There is also this issue involving her step brother that has never been resolved..

Ha... looks like another day to avoid DU.
WTF....
I just got a phone call from my 85 year old father, who lives in Maryland. He just recently moved back there after living in Tenn. for about 5 years. He went down to the DMV to change over his drivers license and was told his social security card, which is the original he has been carrying since he was 16, was/is invalid. Had to file for a new one. So what the hell is that all about?????
Question about assisted living facilities....
Does anyone know if medicare helps pay for this in anyway? We are trying to get my parents into a local facility and boy-howdy are they expensive! Thanks for any info.
Woo Hoo!!! Just hit the minus
50 pound mark! Tomorrow will be exactly 2 months since my surgery and I'm feeling great!!!!!!
I really forgot how good it felt to be able to move around and do things with relative ease.
Question about separation of church and state...
I live close to a public school. In the evening I take a walk to the school and around the parking lot for exercise. Today I was close enough to the football field to notice a placard that was posted there. It said... Football pledge: I promise to love God, Myself, the (insert school name) school system and the program.
I am no constitutional scholar by a long shot, so my question is, is this wrong? I feel it is. This is a public school. Both my children are grown and out of school, but they did go there. I know for a fact that it wasn't there then, it is a fairly recent addition to the field.
