Why it's possible the "Socialist" tag won't have any teeth this election cycle

The public seems to be onto the elite's propaganda game so having them cry "socialist" may have reached a point where the public knows it's just the 1%ers and corporate media screaming wolf and that maybe the reason they have been screaming "wolf / socialist" all this time is because it's against their best interest and possibly beneficial to the masses?

Not to mention, Republicans have been calling Obama a socialist (more crying wolf) since day one and to the public who have gotten to know him and watch us slowly dig out from Bush's disaster, he seems pretty reasonable and not anything to fear. So the word socialist has kind of lost any negative meaning it might have carried 8 years ago because Republicans have over-used it.

Finally, when the public hears Sanders is a socialist but then see him standing up to those at the money tables and talking about money issues that really pertain to them personally, I think it takes away from the negative emotions the word use to arouse.

Betting sites are almost never wrong when it comes to elections as the election approaches but it's still a very tight margin.

Poor Fundies are "dying" for Bundy to bring the Rapture

It's amazing how many people live day to day waiting with bated breath for the rapture. For them hearing an emergency broadcast test is like sniffing cocaine! They simply can't wait for all the death and destruction so they can meet their all loving God. Bundy is getting a lot of their hopes up!

Oregon standoff: One of protesters has murder conviction (Murdered his Dad)

I am beginning to wonder if any of these douche bags has a clean record? Not to mention several who have been caught for their stolen valor.

Snip> Wampler was accused of killing his 62-year-old father who was asleep in bed at his Lower Lake, Calif., residence, according to police reports and newspaper stories from the time. Wampler had been staying at his father's home for eight days before the killing and had a troubled relationship with him, according to police reports.

Snip> On Aug. 8, 1977, Wampler was convicted of second-degree murder after pleading guilty, according to the Lake County District Attorney's Office in California. Wampler was sentenced to serve five years to life in prison, said Dana Simas, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokeswoman. He was released from prison July 11, 1981, on parole, Simas said, and his parole supervision ended the following July.

Clinton's Emails on private server being 'Top Secret' is trending hard on Facebook right now

My guess is there probably isn't much to any of it but the timing could not be worse for Hillary with Iowa coming up. Just going on Facebook for a few minutes you are likely to see that on the right side of your page and click on it. Tens of millions will see that in the next few days just on Facebook which means it's hitting every other form of media hard right now.

Burns meeting today. Check out the contrast between these two women (video)

If you go to about the 22 minute mark of the video a psycho pro-Bundy lady comes on spouting nothing but a bunch of ignorance about the Hammonds and Gov. overreach with the 5 year mandatory minimum. But keep watching and hold onto your hat for the lady right after her that informs everyone that the mandatory minimum was put in place by Republicans mostly to put poor minorities folks away and it's the Republicans who won't overturn the law even though Dems have been fighting to get it overturned. She is absolutely epic!

I couldn't watch beyond that but evidently most in the crowd want the Bundy idiots to leave and tell them to leave directly to their faces.

In Defense of the Eagles - Most are strong Democrats and we should appreciate what they have done

Here is just a little about Henley and whether you like their music or not they should be acknowledged for all they have done for the Democratic party. I personally love their music and I love Glenn Frey's solo work:

Political and other causes

A lifelong supporter of the Democratic Party, Henley has also been a generous donor to political campaigns of Democrats. In 2008, The Washington Post reported Henley had donated over $680,000 to political candidates since 1978.[46]

Several tracks on the 2007 Eagles album Long Road Out of Eden (including the title track, which Henley co-wrote) are sharply critical of the Iraq War and other policies of the Bush administration.[citation needed]

In a March 2001 interview on Charlie Rose, Henley stated that "rock bands work best as a benevolent dictatorship," with the principal songwriters in a band (in the case of the Eagles, "me and Glenn Frey&quot being the ones that will likely hold the power.[42]

In 1990, Henley founded the Walden woods project to help protect "Walden Woods" from development. The Thoreau Institute at Walden Woods was started in 1998 to provide for research and education regarding Henry David Thoreau. In 1993, a compilation album titled Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles was released, with a portion of the royalties from the sales going to the Walden Woods Project. In 2005, he had a fundraiser concert with Elton John and others to buy Brister's Hill,[38] part of Walden Woods, and turn it into a hiking trail.[citation needed]

Henley co-founded the non-profit Caddo Lake Institute in 1993 with Dwight K. Shellman to underwrite ecological education and research. As part of the Caddo Lake Coalition, CLI helps protect the Texas wetland where Henley spent much of his childhood. As a result of the Caddo Lake Institute's success in restoring and protecting Caddo Lake's wetlands, Caddo Lake was included as the 13th site in the United States on the Ramsar Convention's list of significant wetlands. The Ramsar Convention is an intergovernmental treaty that provides a framework for national action and international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources.[39]

In 2000, Henley co-founded the Recording Artists' Coalition, a group founded to protect musicians' rights against common music industry business practices. In this role he testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary in 2001[40] and the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation in 2003.[41]
