WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A white man who challenged a black family’s use of a private community’s pool has not only resigned from the homeowners association board — he’s lost his job.

Sonoco announced Friday that Adam Bloom is no longer employed by the packaging and industrial products company, saying it doesn’t condone discrimination of any kind, even if it happens outside its workplace.

A video posted on the Facebook page of Jasmine Edwards on July 4, seen more than 4 million times, shows what happened after Bloom questioned whether she was allowed to be at the pool in Winston-Salem. He also called police.

Bloom, Edwards and the responding officers all speak in measured tones in the video. She accuses him of singling out her and her young son as African-Americans by asking to see her ID. Bloom, who served as the chairman of the pool, responds that he asks residents to see their identification “a couple times” each week.

Officers then determined that Edwards, who lives in the neighborhood, did in fact have keycard access to the gated pool.

An officer then apologized to her. When Edwards asked Bloom for an apology, he walked away.

Video shows woman's racist tirade, attack on New York bus

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. (WPIX) — A woman has been arrested after she was caught on camera going on a racist tirade on a Rockland County bus last weekend.

In the video obtained by PIX11 News, the woman is seen using racial slurs and hitting a fellow passenger. She was arrested by Orangetown police on Saturday on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Vladimir was a passenger on the bus Saturday afternoon and recorded the woman’s tirade.

“Some people were scared, especially the elderly people,” Vladimir said.

The woman is seen on video telling immigrants to go back to their country and asking them if they “had their papers” to live in the United States.

Sooner or later the 10 or 15% of poor folks who did vote for the con-artist based on the idea that he would drain the swamp and put money back in their pockets are going to realize things aren't better and will probably be worse. They may just need to be reminded over and over and over again that they are still poor. This at least would be a better reason to just stay home or give a progressive a chance.

By the way, I think ontop of what Mueller reveals, that charity fraud trial is going to be very damaging! The campaign ads write themselves. Fucking taking money from kids with cancer! That is SOOO Fucked up and for the racists who don't care about the immigrant kids, they know many of the kids with cancer are white and dying. Those ads will be devastating for anyone with a heart who chooses to be open to them.

Around the 6:30 mark into the video they bring up all the falsehoods and insults Trump made at his campaign rally in Montana. Klein then brings up that it happened on a day when the EPA's unbelievably corrupt, scandal ridden chief resigns and on a day they name Bill Shine, corrupt FOX News executive, ousted for covering up decades of sexual assault within Fox News, to a deputy chief of staff position in the White House. Donald Trump knows on any night like that he can mount a stage and act like an ass and the media will rush to cover it. Then he is back on fertile ground of, they are against me, bla, bla, bla... Klein goes on that we need to stop Trump from being the media's assignment editor.

We the audience need to put pressure on the news to cover the important stories and NOT let Trump keep playing the media like a fucking top!

More Americans disapprove of the way President Trump is handling immigration policy than of his presidency as a whole, a new poll finds.

Most Americans — 59 percent — don’t approve of the President’s handling of immigration, according to a Washington Post-Schar School poll released on July 6, while 39 percent approve. Of that 59 percent, 44 percent strongly disapprove, and 15 percent only somewhat disapprove. Of those who approved of Trump’s immigration policies, only 19 percent did so strongly.

Trump’s approval rating was nearly as low on international trade following the spate of recent tariffs his administration has imposed on Mexico, China, Europe and Canada. About 41 percent approved of his international trade policy, and 57 percent disapproved, according to the poll. His overall approval rating stood at 43 percent.

WASHINGTON — A fifth former OSU wrestler is accusing U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan of knowing about sexual abuse by Dr. Richard Strauss when Strauss was a sports doctor for Ohio State University.

“There’s no way unless he’s got dementia or something that he’s got no recollection of what was going on at Ohio State,” Mark Coleman told the Wall Street Journal in a story published Friday. “I have nothing but respect for this man, I love this man, but he knew as far as I’m concerned.”

Coleman, a former UFC world champion, is now one of five former wrestlers who say that Jordan, an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University in the 1980s and 1990s, was aware of allegations of sexual misconduct by Strauss.

The university is currently conducting an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, and says it has interviewed more than 150 former athletes and witnesses so far.

Jordan, who announced earlier this year that he is considering running for House speaker or minority leader depending on how Republicans fair in the 2018 elections, has strenuously and repeatedly denied knowing about any abuse at the university and said he would have done something were he aware of it. The Urbana Republican’s office is currently in the process of setting up an interview with investigators hired by OSU. The lawyers earlier had tried to reach Jordan through a faulty email address.
