Really revealing comments from Jeb Bush in South Carolina

From Forward Progressive:

“If this election is about how we’re going to fight to get nothing done, then I don’t want any part of it,” Bush said. “I don’t want to be elected president to sit around and see gridlock just become so dominant that people literally are in decline in their lives.”

“I’ve got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them,” he continued. “That is a joke. Elect Trump if you want that.”

That, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a political meltdown. It’s clear that Trump has gotten under his skin and he’s completely frustrated with the entire process. That’s what happens when you let crazy people take over your party. So at the end of the day, Bush can whine all he wants, but he only has the Republican party and conservative voters to blame for the rise of Trump and the madness that’s seized the GOP.

I think these comments really put the final nail in the coffin of his campaign. Those are not words of a man many serious donors are going to get behind. With poll numbers that are almost certainly going to get worse, money that seems to be drying up and his candidacy becoming more and more irrelevant by the day – I would be fairly surprised to see him stay in much longer unless something completely unexpected happens.

Does Hillary have a chance to take Arkansas or any other Southern states in the General?

I was just thinking that Bill, a Southerner, was pretty competitive in the South winning states like AR, LA, KY, TN, GA, FL etc. From what I have heard GA is shifting Blue and with AR being her home state we could see some southern states beyond the Carolina's turning blue again. Anyone with any in-depth knowledge of what is expected down there this time around?

Jeb Bush seems to have forgotten all of this. Donald Trump needs to hit him harder on his brothers failures.

4-year-old killed in road rage shooting

Source: ABC KOAT Channel 7 Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —A 4-year-old girl has died after she was shot during a road rage incident Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 40.

A father, mother and child were in the car, but only the child was hit by the gunfire. It’s unclear how many shots were fired.

An off-duty Bernalillo County deputy pulled over to help shortly after the shooting. At first he thought the child had fallen out of the car, but then he learned she'd been shot.

"This is a complete disrespect of human life. This is something that should not be happening in Albuquerque, New Mexico," APD Chief Gorden Eden said.

Police do not believe the family knew the shooter. They’re calling it a road rage case.

"We are begging for information"

The road rage incident was posted earlier but this is late breaking because the child has now passed away.

CNN/ORC poll: Hillary Clinton wins debate, but Bernie Sanders rises

Compared with pre-debate polling, Sanders' support is up five points since mid-September, but no other candidate showed significant change.

They again fail to mention Wall Street as a top Democratic issue. Surprise!

Just going to ignore the 20 militant Sanders and Clinton supporters who are going back and forth

at one another. I think the vast, vast, vast majority of DU support both Sanders and Clinton and like them both. Trying to rip the other candidate apart in ways that are mean spirited isn't doing anyone any favors and won't change the outcome of the Primaries. Good debate about the issues is fine though. As a Sanders supporter I am also realistic about his chances but a lot of us who support Sanders see this as a Marathon and not a sprint. We see Sanders laying the groundwork to educate and excite a young electorate and hope they can make big changes down the road if the US is not ready for FDR style democracy again just yet. But who knows, maybe the country is ready for Sanders once they learn his message.

As someone who supports Sanders more than Clinton I just want to say that one thing that pisses me off are "Gotcha" posts about Clinton's emails etc. and folks literally hoping she will go down. Gentle reminder that if Hillary goes down there is higher risk that we could end up with Bush or Rubio and a really fucked up Supreme Court and who knows how much more shit to deal with. I am not a huge Hillary fan but if this country is not ready for Sanders this time around I prefer Hillary a billion times more than any Republican. I also think Hillary will be tougher and better at using the bully pulpit than Obama was so I am excited to see what kind of president she might make if she wins despite a number of flaws in her voting record and less than impressive resume taking on Wall Street. Paul Krugman who I highly respect seems to think she could be tough on WS which makes me hopeful but not too hopeful.

As for Hillary supporters who see Sanders supporters as tilting at Windmills, this may be true but you gota have dreams and something to aspire to even if it takes a generation to get there. I personally wish Sanders had been calling himself an FDR Democrat rather than a Democratic Socialist but perhaps in order to truly change peoples perceptions of Socialism you have to have the courage to stand behind it and begin to lay the groundwork for a more enlightened nation down the line. Who would have thought this country would go from being so anti-gay marriage 20 years ago to so strongly gay marriage today? Also, fewer and fewer people are following religions as the years pass. Peoples views and values can most certainly change over time and I think this is what Sanders is up to. He is just trying to educate the general public and open their minds to socialism. I suspect he is realistic about how long it will take his message to resonate but that is why he is a true leader. I think he may know he is laying the groundwork for future Democratic candidates or even true Socialist candidates like they have in Europe. For this he will always be a great leader even if he never officially takes the reins as President. He could have been slicker and shied away from being called a Socialist but that would have been disingenuous and that is not what he is about as we all know.
