Biden to coal miners "Learn to code."

Democratic presidential contender and Joe Biden has some advice for the recently disrupted: learn to program.

At a rally in Derry, New Hampshire on Monday, per the Washington Post’s Dave Weigel, Biden talked about how unemployed miners and coal workers who have lost their jobs in recent years can find “jobs of the future” if they “learn to program.” Referencing his role in a Barack Obama-era programming skills initiative in schools, Biden commented that “Anybody who can go down 3000 feet in a mine can sure as hell learn to program as well... Anybody who can throw coal into a furnace can learn how to program, for God’s sake!”

Buttigieg: I would not have wanted my son on Ukraine board

FORT MADISON, Iowa (AP) — Pete Buttigieg said Monday that he “would not have wanted to see” his son serving on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company while he was leading anti-corruption efforts in the country, an implicit criticism of the controversy that has ensnared his 2020 Democratic presidential rival Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden’s position on the board of the company Burisma has been a rallying point for Republicans as they try to defend President Donald Trump against impeachment charges over Trump asking Ukraine’s new president to investigate the former vice president and his son while also withholding crucial U.S. military aid.

Buttigieg, the childless mayor of South Bend, Indiana, said in an Associated Press interview that his administration would “do everything we can to prevent even the appearance of a conflict. That’s very important because as we see it can create a lot of complications even when there is no wrongdoing.”

Mansplaining convention coming to Orlando promises to 'Make Women Great Again' Not the Onion!

For the love of God!

Snip: Topics the men will discuss include the ills of feminism, the war on motherhood, beauty and obesity, love and dating, getting pregnant and having "unlimited babies," getting in shape, beating the competition to "become the ultimate wife," and boosting femininity.

The preview picture next to the femininity topic is of a smiling woman, with a statement that "men prefer debt-free virgins without tattoos." Their message is, when women do anything that these bros doesn't like – anything that goes against the most antiquated notions of women – it's a woman acting like a man, whatever "acting like a man" means.

And a woman acting this way confuses the order of things and ruins the world, say organizers. Only men can say what is proper womanly behavior.

Was just thinking that Bush's approval rating was over 50% and he barely squeaked passed Kerry

In the 2004 election 286 Electoral Votes to 261. Trump's approval rating is ten points below George Bush's and his approval seems locked into that number no matter what happens. If the economy goes south it will go under 40% but if not I suspect he will be in the low 40's for the election. The swing states he needs are actually the one part of the country that is economically in the worst shape too.

Dehydrated Koala Desperately Approaches Cyclist And Sips From Water Bottle

Rising temperatures in Australia and the enduring wildfires have posed serious challenges for local wildlife, who often have no other choice but to endure the unbearable heat. However, one little koala in need of a good drink thankfully got some help from a particularly kindhearted cyclist.

According to the Independent, Aussie cycling enthusiast Anna Heuseler went viral this month after lending her water bottle to a desperately dehydrated koala who sought out her help during a recent ride.

Heuseler posted photos and a video of the incredibly touching encounter on Instagram where she also explained the situation.

Obama Is Reportedly Talking Up Elizabeth Warren With Donors

I love this!!!!

“He obviously thinks she’s very smart,” one Democratic donor told The Hill.

Former President Barack Obama has been privately praising presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), The Hill reported Monday.

According to sources familiar with the interactions, Obama has been talking up Warren in conversations with donors who are hesitant to support a candidate running a campaign that’s critical of Wall Street and America’s billionaire class.

“He obviously thinks she’s very smart,” one Democratic donor told The Hill. “He thinks her policy ideas matter. And I think he sees her running the campaign with the most depth.”

Billy Graham's Grandchildren Come Out In Defense Of Christianity Today. Trump's Removal "Courageous"

Billy Graham’s Grandchildren Come Out In Defense Of Christianity Today, Said Editorial Call For Trump’s Removal Is “Courageous”

Donald Trump appeared to find validation for his bizarre attack on Christianity Today, a magazine that was founded by the late legendary pastor Billy Graham. Trump touted right-wing pastor Franklin Graham over his Facebook post to denounce the very magazine his father founded. CT, the largest evangelical magazine that Trump mistakenly referred to as “ET” as he lashed out at the publication, called for the “president’s” removal from office in a scathing op-ed. The news was so huge that it crashed Christianity Today’s website.

Franklin Graham, — a homophobe and an Islamophobe — may have come to Trump’s rescue but Billy Graham’s grandchildren do not approve of this “president” and backed the publication’s call for his removal.

Billy Graham’s granddaughter said the evangelical Christian magazine’s call for Trump to be removed from office was “courageous.” Jerushah Duford said she disagrees with her uncle Franklin Graham, who took to Facebook to tear into the publication.

“My grandfather always said courage is contagious,” she said. “My hope is that an article like this will be a first step for people to actually stand up.” She went on to say that the good Trump has done, like his anti-choice stance, does not seem to outweigh the bad he’s done.

New Mexico GOP calls for change in congressional 'complexion'

Democrats are incensed and calling on New Mexico Republican Party Chairman Steve Pearce to apologize after the state GOP sent an email to supporters Friday morning urging them to help “change the complexion of our Congressional delegation.”

All of New Mexico’s U.S. representatives are people of color.

The email begins with a criticism of U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján, the highest-ranking Hispanic lawmaker in Congress, for voting Wednesday night to impeach President Donald Trump instead of working to “address poverty, child hunger and lack of healthcare in his home state of New Mexico.”
