Small bit of good news. My MAGA / Christian Conservative co-worker has checked out of politics
I think this is where more Republicans are then we are lead to believe. He voted for Trump twice and seemed engaged before. We had a brief discussion before the Republican debate as I asked if he was going to watch and he said he wasn't and he just thinks all politicians are crooks now and he doesn't care anymore. Before Reagan a lot of Christian Conservatives didn't really care about politics. Some seem to be returning to this. I think all the bad news and criminal indictments are making some more defiant but also many are just exhausted and checking out.
So Trump made a calculated decision to look "defiant". Instead he just looks like a criminal
He totally miscalculated on this one. It isn't going over the way he hoped it would. He should have smiled and looked unbothered. That photo will live in infamy as FDR would have said!
