The bipartisan (despite all theater to the contrary) corporate ACA is already skyrocketing insurance company profits beyond the wildest dreams of its architects. The insurance companies wrote the thing, and it was *designed* to entrench an exploitative, profit-sucking system of middlemen that keeps costs spiraling at the expense of human beings who need care. Look instead for more "loopholes" like the one the Obama administration *already* carved out in order to help the companies shift even more costs to patients.

If most people understood how it is rigged, and how much is being stolen, they would be outraged. The mandate was a corporate wet dream - it ensures that obscene levels of money that should be going to health care instead are given as a cut to these thieving health insurance middlemen. It ensures continued spiraling costs. And it ensures a continued motive to deny care for profit.

Healthcare as commodity. Obscenely overpriced "insurance" that people cannot afford to use. Profits mandated...instead of care. And a system in which "consumers" must desperately "shop" for a new (lower-benefit, higher deductible, lower-tier) plan every year as premiums skyrocket and they are mercilessly priced out of the old ones. And the lipstick on the pig, the subsidies, go directly to the profiteers. The pockets of Americans are looted, while the oligarchs have their obscene profits codified and protected in the law itself.

Of course some *individuals* are helped! But they are helped by other Americans who pay for the subsidies. NOT by making the bloodsucking corporations pay; no, their profits are codified into the law. And why wouldn't the corporate vipers structure it this way? How else could PR for this massive takeover by corporations, this perversion and exploitation of the basic human need for healthcare into a nationwide, mandated profit opportunity for bloodsucking middlemen, *ever* have been pulled off as it was?


Third Way Democrats and corporate Republicans bank on gullibility and lack of awareness of what their policies actually accomplish for the wealthy. Most especially, they bank on the hope that they can propagandize each issue separately -- the turning of every single human need (for education, for health care, for energy) into a profit stream for oligarchs-- so that people won't see the overarching, always present agenda:

Virginia, with slimy Third Way governor, Terry McAuliffe,

just broke his promise to expand Medicaid unilaterally for 400,0000. Only 25,000 will be eligible. Of course, his promise was hugely publicized, but the reversal was quietly on the back pages.

Virginia was never going to get real Medicaid expansion with this DLC corporate snake in office. Those of us who have followed McAuliffe's career from the time he was the head of the DLC predicted that he would break his promises and the major expansion would never materialize. And we were right.

His campaign and term *began* with bald-faced lies. He campaigned on very specific promises including pushing the expansion by writing it into his own budget. As soon as he got into office, he changed his mind and decided that a letter to Republicans, with a plea for them to work with him on legislation instead, would suffice. And the Kabuki continued from there, consistent with the rest of his sleazy Third Way record:

Government of, by, and for Wall Street.

A highly publicized impeachment attempt planned by both sides wouldn't surprise me at all.

Americans are getting too wise to the fact that this corporate oligarchy is a bipartisan scam by corporate vipers raping the future of the entire 99 percent.

Nothing like a good, voluntary impeachment circus to stoke partisan drama and try to herd/divide the sheep back into their rabid, defensive, circling-the-wagons Red and Blue teams again.

Americans deserve credit because, even in the corporate, bipartisan propaganda state,

they/we consistently show strong support for policies that actually help human beings when they are presented as viable options. In poll after poll, Americans support actual policies well to the left of those shoved down our throats by the bipartisan corporate oligarchy. Our passivity results from careful conditioning, not stupidity.

That is why the corporate Third Way and corporate Republicans work so desperately to immediately marginalize and silence any dissenting voices that do arise, before they have a chance to catch fire and be considered as actual possibilities in the mind of the electorate. Chomsky summed up the MO:

I am always particularly revolted by Third Way attempts to exploit race and gender

in order to push candidates whose corporate, predatory policies disproportionately savage women and minorities.

The effects of continued corporate warfare on this nation will be a disaster for all Americans, but *especially* women and minorities.

The truth is that, just as the Third Way sees no problem cozying up to nations that spiral inequality and outlaw "flirtatious eyes" by women, there is no way that Third Way genuinely prioritizes values of racial and gender equality....not when they are aggressively dismantling of the very economic and democratic systems that make it possible for women and minorities to be empowered.

I just can't wait to see the status of women and minorities in this country when we are all working for Third World wages, Hillary's trade agreements have ramped up corporate power and the ability of corporations to override our laws and protections, and dissent in the new corporate America has been crushed.

North Korea has nothing on our entrenched propaganda state.

Watch American teevee for a few days, and you will see.

One would think other westernized democracies don't even exist.

We are marinated in schlock, glitz, corporate propaganda, and cruelty. "Politics" in America is an entrenched lie, a rallying into sham Red and Blue teams and fomenting of rabid loyalty, to give the illusion of democracy while deliberately detaching team loyalty from actual policies.

And the only countries we are ever encouraged to compare ourselves to are the most oppressive places on earth.
