And according to them

ACA is ALREADY imploding, so everybody MUST now accept the Republicans inferior version that will do little or nothing for people- and will cause people whom are already covered (the existence of which proves that ACA isn't actually imploding) to potentially give up that coverage. There are some wild distortions of reality that Trumpublicans are trying to pull here for sure!

Whether he is taking a salary or not

We are still paying a boatload of money for his weekly getaways to Mar-A-Lago- Certainly $400K and then some, so I'm not seeing how his "pledge" even really matters all that much.

Access don't mean nothing

if you don't have the money to actually, you know, ACCESS it. I don't understand how so many people- and everybody has had to interact with a hospital and/or doctor at some point- know how expensive medical care, insurance, etc. is and complain (rightly) about how bad it is, yet they just seem to accept it just as an unmovable and unchangeable "fact of life" that they HAVE to accept. Many people, even when faced with evidence about how other countries' healthcare systems cover everybody equally, cheaper, and more efficiently than our system, eagerly buy into Republican lies and distortions about how these other countries' systems work (they have some flaws but are still light-years ahead of us) and buy into arguments that we shouldn't want any of that European-style "socialism" here.

It's impossible

to not feel as though our country "traded down" last November. It's sort of hard to believe that our country keeps doing this. We should have progressed beyond the point where people like Donald Trump are considered viable candidates for the highest office in the land (and one of the highest in the world). How people get Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton put up for a vote and enough people choose a huckster with no experience and/or qualifications for being POTUS over a seasoned, experienced, and well-qualified pol will forever remain a mystery to me. It's like the whole office of the Presidency has been trivialized to the point that people think that they can elect just about anybody to the position now matter how suitable they are for the position. We all love "average man" Homer Simpson but I wouldn't ever vote for him for President (nor sanitation commissioner).

Politics is just a "hobby" to too many people

Just an optional thing to spend time doing- like people might choose to spend time reading, drawing, watching sports, playing Basketball, etc. Yeah, people usually hear something, something about the Presidential election every 4 years and, yeah, a lot of people get off their butts and vote if they happen to feel like it but most of them don't care enough about the issues and all that "wonky" policy stuff and try to find a candidate that they can "have a beer with" or somebody whose personality they really like. Some might just fall into the trap of feeling like everybody running sucks and don't even bother to vote or throw their vote away on some yahoo like Gary Johnson or Jill Stein because, in the end, what does it matter?

Gah!! WTF is wrong with these people???

Democrats run candidates in every election promising to vote for policies that help people and make their lives better but loads of people run right out and vote for Republicans, whom not only won't make things better but actually make them worse and then, what do they do? They vote for Republicans again. Wash.rinse.repeat. What is it that they don't get???? We are doomed by the stupidity and idiocy of the masses.

Is it really even collapsing?

The only ones whom seem to be declaring it a "crisis" are Republicans claiming that it is to make an argument for repealing and "replacing" it. Sure, there are some people for whom ACA may not working particularly great but it seems like the vast majority of people whom are on the exchanges seem to be getting what they need from it. If it was literally collapsing in front of our eyes it would be blindingly obvious to everybody that it would need to be fixed and/or replaced. Part of the problem too is that many of the problems that people are having are actually with private insurers- whom remain the crux of our healthcare system- and those problems are being conflated with ACA, which may have little or no actual connection to the law itself. Additionally, little attention/focus is being drawn to Republican/SCOTUS sabotage of the law that has made ACA work much less effectively than it otherwise might be working had Republicans allowed the law to function as it was originally written.

Is the GOP "Healthcare" Bill subject to filibuster in Senate

News articles are reporting it like McConnell can ram it through on party-line vote if he keeps defections to minimum. Reconciliation???

I feel the same way

Complaining about her being a "corporatist" and giving speeches to Goldman Sachs seems rather trite right now, eh? Clinton Foundation "play to pay"? Seriously?
