Reid needs to shut this down ASAP

He's not out of the Senate until 2017. He and Durbin need to start cracking the whip a bit IMHO. I'm going to get on my Senator ASAP (Donnelly)

Remember

When some of us were accused of being paid Obama shills too?

Sorry

Poor people aren't "people" like corps are.

I had no idea

That benefits in Kansas were so generous that one could afford a cruise on them? Maybe I should quit my job and move to Kansas and get on the dole since welfare recipients have it quite nice there (or had until now anyway)

I seem to remember

They all became doves the instant Obama began discussing strikes on Syria even though they had been complaining about him not doing anything beforehand. The truth is that they won't support anything he or any other Democrat does. They are flailing away into irrelevancy, or at least they would be if they weren't treated so seriously by the media.

With all due respect

This just can't top my "worry list" for what will happen if the Republicans win the WH and hold the Senate and House

I'm all for a primary (if and when any other viable Democratic candidates emerge), but I hope that everybody will enthusiastically support the eventual Democratic nominee for POTUS no matter who he/she is.

This IS Indiana

I think that he honestly thought that this would either go unnoticed (hard to imagine given that opposition picked up pretty heavily as it passed out of the Legislature) or people would just shrug their shoulders and move on. After all, Democrats have been neutered and Republicans have such a commanding majority that Democrats could show up or stay home and it wouldn't change anything that happens in the Legislature. Plus, I bet that he thought that this would be a quick and easy ticket to woo Republican primary voters (he has been rumored to have Presidential ambitions). I'm pleasantly surprised at how swift and strong the backlash has been against this law, however, it won't mean much in the long term unless Democrats and progressives capitalize on this backfire next year when Pence and all House members in the Legislature are up for re-election. Pence barely won in 2012. Hopefully, this will help improve our chances of making him a one-term Governor.
