9-12% behind

Is "closing the gap"? Really?

Do voters want to "throw a brick at Obama"?

Or does he? I sort of suspect the latter.

"Never tell me the odds!"

GOTV!

Just don't you dare ever say that he supports impeachment!

Because, remember, it's all just a Democratic fundraising scam to smear Republicans!!!

I'm bracing for the Republicans taking the Senate

It looks like things may not be *as bad* as they looked at the beginning of the year with the botched ACA rollout fresh in everybody's minds but we still need to encourage as many of our people to get out to the polls to minimize the damage. The Republicans may not be able to do much with a House/Senate majority (and they are pretty much guaranteed to lose the Senate again in 2016) but they could still make government (more) unmanageable and make it difficult for getting a budget passed and nominees confirmed. Just GOTV- and tell your family and friends (not the Republican ones though) to GOTV

I'm trying to remain calm

I have been reading the increasingly concerning reports coming out of Africa about the Ebola outbreak and worrying about it breaking out of its space over there and jumping across the pond over here come to find out that we are actually BRINGING IT OVER HERE ourselves. The CDC and other experts don't seem that concerned about it, which, I guess, makes me feel a little better but I also know that nothing is foolproof despite our best intentions. Also, although our health care infrastructure in our country is light years above Africa, we still have too many not covered with health insurance (especially in "red" parts of the country like, well, Georgia) whom might be reluctant to take themselves to their doctor or to the ER and go about their normal business even if they were to get sick with something like Ebola (which initially mimics other things). Stuff like this seems to be the best argument for a universal health coverage system IMHO.

The teabaggers will eventually push Boehner into it IMHO

It's just a matter of time. Even if they know it won't succeed, they want an impeachment vote to take back to their constituents just like they wanted some anti-ACA votes. Plus, whether it is justified or not, they believe that it would leave a stain on Obama's Presidency and they would be able to go in front of the public and give it as a "reason" why Democrats shouldn't be allowed to hold the WH in 2016 ("Democrats abuse their power!&quot and it may be enough to fool the public just like George W. Bush's "bringing integrity back to the WH" seemed to work in 2000 (of course, Republicans still need to find a credible candidate).
