First off, one poll

Second, she doesn't need to generate the same amount of excitement. She already has a lot of people committed to her candidacy from the outset. Bernie has the much tougher job of convincing people to switch from her to him.

So, what IS the "other option"?

Critics just can't give anybody a viable alternative- or in most cases- anything at all.

Remind me again

how Republicans are supposed to be for freedom and stand boldly against tyranny? Between hearing about stuff like this, Huckabee and Jindal's loose talk about using federal agencies/agents to pursue their opponents (just like they accused President Obama of doing with IRS), it's clear that Republicans have moved into no-man's land of advocating dictatorship-like power. People had best be paying attention to them. They are as clearly as ever telegraphing their intentions if they were ever to achieve ultimate, unchecked power. And here I thought that we were headed towards a dictatorship under the George W. Bush (mis-)Administration post-9/11. These guys will clearly follow in his and Cheney's dangerous footsteps.

Doesn't matter IMHO

SCOTUS found the right to choose an abortion in the Constitution even if not explicitly there. It's just as valid.

Glad you are still with us

I agree with everything you said and would add too that if Walker's wife and/or daughter (does he have one?) were faced with the same situation, he would not (I think) hesitate to try to save them over a doomed pregnancy. These people don't lift a finger to help other people until or unless it affects them or theirs in some way- and in the meantime not only do the not help others but actually PREVENT help for others. It's severely messed up.

The right-wing creators of these videos are relying on the "ick factor" to upset people

with these videos- just like how the right for years made people uncomfortable about gays and lesbians by playing up/emphasizing same-sex behavior, which most people don't like to think about, especially in regards to gay men (even though many heterosexuals engage in the same sex acts). People may be pro-choice but may not like to think too much about the actual procedure and the nitty-gritty details of the disposal of the resultant medical waste, especially when they are being labled as "baby parts", which conjures up a whole other set of gruesome images in people's brains even if it is not accurate. If that's what they mean by being "disturbed" by the videos, I can understand that and it shouldn't make it impossible to still maintain support for PP. If what they mean is that they think that PP is doing something wrong, I'm not sure about that, especially with them having been edited like they were. Also, I have to keep asking, if this group is alleging CRIMINAL behavior by PP, then why did they not turn this information over to law enforcement IMMEDIATELY as they should have? I see videos like this as being akin to entrapment- asking people hypothetical questions and then using edited footage of them answering those questions as "evidence" that there is something illegal/immoral/unethical going on. If PP is supposedly profiting off fetal tissue donation, where are the receipts, transactions history, etc.? As a concerned citizen, that is the sort of proof that I would need to see before condemning PP, cutting off their funding.

I'm not sure that they can do this

Daniels tried this here in Indiana (I believe) a few years back and the Federal Courts shot it down because Medicaid rules are supposed to allow women flexibility in how/where they obtain their medical care through Medicaid. I could be wrong about this but I hope somebody files a lawsuit. The thing that pisses me off the most about this is that these videos have been debunked and PP has not been actually charged with/convicted of any criminal wrongdoing (unless I've missed something).

Good News

if we can get Schumer, then we will really be in good shape, although killing the deal would IMHO seriously harm our relations with other countries, not to mention kill a really good chance of keeping Iran from developing nuclear weapons, especially without presenting a credible alternative. What I REALLY don't get is how opponents of the deal are able to argue that this deal somehow makes it EASIER for Iran to get a nuclear weapon.

I would be interested

in your opinion about how things HAVE changed for the better from 2008-present under a moderate/left-of-center Democratic President even with struggling with a mad House Tea Party for most of his two terms. There has actually been some quite significant moves of the pendulum back towards the left and HRC (and all other Dems) are planning to continue the movements made by President Obama.

Conversely

shouldn't he WAIT until "questions" about Planned Parenthood are answered BEFORE federal funding is cut off- that is even if there are really any further questions that have to be answered? The full videotape footage has been released showing the full context of the questions asked and answered of the PP officials, which indicate that nothing untoward was happening. Why is the burden of proof on PP to answer these charges anyway? Shouldn't the burden of proof be on the people making the accusations? Abortions and fetal tissue donation don't even comprise a large part of PP's operations. And they're going to try to cut ALL of its federal funding over heavily doctored video footage just because it makes people feel "uncomfortable" about what happens during LEGAL medical procedures?
