I was pleasantly gobsmacked about Indiana SOS denying the width and breadth of this request

We're a Republican-locked State at the moment and our Republican SOS and Mike Pence dramatically shut down a Democratic-leaning voter registration effort last fall in a massive state police raid leading up to the November elections- the outcome of which we have yet to hear about AFAIK.

I thought that we were supposed to have a secret ballot? The fact that Kobach requested actual voting records for people now makes me wonder if he knows something that the rest of us don't know about............

Experts actually disagree that it's currently in a "death spiral"

It's got issues but it's still here and helping people, albeit not as well as it could. A LOT of those issues (maybe all of them) would go away if Republicans weren't intentionally sabotaging it. IMHO Democrats need to signal willingness to work with GOP to fix ACA but should otherwise remain steadfast in their unwillingness to work with Republicans to pass some version of ACHA and/or repealing ACA entirely. Mentioning the INTENTIONAL Republican sabotage of ACA whenever possible and how it is creating a lot of the problems people are currently experiencing in some areas with ACA would be helpful too. If Republicans choose to ram something through Congress and it becomes law, Democrats can't do much other than protest and attack Republicans for it- and Republicans will wind up owning all of the disastrous consequences thereof.

All we're saying is

give (un-)peace a chance!

Can't believe that she considers this a GOOD thing!

I need out of this alternate 2017 timeline where Biff is rich, corrupt, and President of the United States! Where's Doc Brown and his Delorean?!

Would've been MUCH more helpful BEFORE he got elected

Just sayin' Instead, we just got lots of lots of fake news stories about Clinton Foundation and Hillary's e-mail server. It's not like a lot of this information wasn't out already about Trump and how he mocks and harasses people. S**w you MSM!

June 29, 2017

And I'm guessing that they can't show us the proof of this

Just need to take their word, amirite?

Trump has crossed so many lines so many times long before now

Where has everybody else (but us) been all this time? He has been acting just as bad BEFORE people went to the polls to vote for him for POTUS!!!

Congratulations to everybody whom voted for him, made excuses for him, ignored the other major party candidate or cut her down, or otherwise facilitated his election as POTUS now worrying about the kind of person whom got elected POTUS. We're *probably* going to be stuck with him for the next 4 years. Just promise us that when 2020 comes around, if he's still in office, that you will vote against him and/or at least not help him slide in for another 4 years! PLEASE!!!!

No

Even its crippled, Republican-sabotaged form, ACA is way better than what we had before, as well as what we're possibly heading to under Trumpcare. No further progress is going to be made IMHO unless we can preserve ACA and build upon it. Passing Trumpcare or even just repealing ACA is going to set us back lots.

And less coverage too

and the bill does NOTHING to address out-of-control health care costs. Basically, their bill does almost nothing to address their mostly false criticisms of ACA and everything it does makes things worse, not better. It is basically the "Upside Down" version of ACA

Good thing for us

that they don't get to define the law/decide what laws they want to follow and which ones they don't. If anything he has allegedly done fits the definition of a crime, then he can be prosecuted, impeached, etc. Of course, whether he will actually ever be held accountable is one thing but Republicans might want to think about what they are defending and how far to the mat they REALLY want to go for Donald J. Trump.

Justice Kennedy leaving or staying (or do we not know yet)?

Did we dodge a bullet with Justice Kennedy since there were apparently no news reports about him announcing his retirement yesterday? Or could we potentially hear something later?
