Mad_Machine76's JournalI see a flaw in his strategy
Democrats should take the blame because......he walks out?
Pelosi and Shumer should agree to a SEPARATE vote on Trump's Wall
in exchange for a clean CR. Of course, it won't pass, but at least everybody could agree that Trump got an up-or-down vote (which is not always something Republicans always allow for Democratic policies/nominees, but I digress) on The Wall and the people have spoken and it's time to move on.
So
Maybe Cis (non-Trans) women should be the ones barred from the women's restrooms?
Except
climate change is/will be someday a GLOBAL Emergency, partly because people like Trump, Rubio, et. al have been focused more on keeping former Presidents from doing anything about it and focusing on distractions like The Wall.
I saw this in my Twitter feed this morning and quickly proceeded to lose my s**t
"two to tango"
The "both sides" take is already incredibly dishonest but this is just rage-inducing.
Total non-starter
Since he's a Democratic Senator in a state that would just as easily go for a hardcore right-wing Republican, I'll tolerate him. There's absolutely no way that he would appeal to the broad Democratic Party constituency. I can guarantee that with near absolute certainty.
Republicans always think that the perception of their policies is the problem
and that their only challenge is to get the necessary # of votes needed in order to win. They never seem to stop for a second and think about the actual quality of their policies.
I'm no legal scholar
but wouldn't just about any US citizen have legal standing? I mean, Trump IS currently *gag* President of the United States of America. A Declaration of National Emergency from the President could have potentially wide consequences for every person in the USA.
It can't be easier to get standing for challenging the Affordable Care Act than an obviously bogus Declaration of National Emergency- can it?
If 9/11 was never enough to call for a national emergency
I can't imagine how an "immigration crisis" (that he/GOP somehow failed to prevent during the past 2 years despite his draconian and fascistic tactics) can be grounds for him to declare a "national emergency". It's wild.
I'm neither disappointed nor surprised
He's an empty suit. Always has been, always will be.
