Now theyre just doing what they can legally and politically to suppress everything and everybody they dont like.
but saying that Rep. Jamaal Bowman intentionally (or not) pulling a fire alarm yesterday is somehow equivalent to J6 has got to top even some of their more asinine claims. 🙄😑🤦🏻?♀️🤪
Not speaking of DU, but a lot of social media today has seemed rather disrespectful/dismissive towards Feinstein and ageist in general, with many people complaining about her dying in office. While there is a reasonable debate to be had about age limits for politicians, and even I came around to supporting her resignation (and McConnells), it just seems tacky to me for people to make this issue the whole discussion about her life and legacy. Anybody else feel the same way?
Depends on all states working together with the Federal Government to tackle the issue and figure out a good way to handle the issue, not busing migrants all around the country with no coordination or plan just to score political points. Democrats have time and time attempted to address the issue while Republicans refuse to lift a finger and want to throw migrants right back over the border or punish them severely if not kill them for the crime of trying to enter our country without proper processing and politicize the issue. Until there is full cooperation I just dont know what we should do. I dont think Republicans want to solve the issue bc like with Abortion they crassly just use it for votes every election. Or they fear trying to do anything bc theyre afraid theyll be accused of supporting amnesty and be primaried.
Were really going to have to re-litigate the entire 20th century, arent we?
Seems like a lot of MSM/Republican-generated concern trolling, just like Bidens age concerns. Republicans genuinely dont want to have to run against Biden and the MSM seems to be feeding into their smears against Biden.
I would think that wanting to have a less dystopian more optimistic future where we dont all have to live in a white Christian nationalist theocracy would be inspiring enough for most people, especially the young, but what the hell do I know?
What it actually means is lacking here and without that it seems hard to come up with a solution. As far as I see it there are only a few solutions, none of them really good and most of them likely having a lot of consequences. But realistically, are people really going to vote for an awful Republican who isnt as old? Are they just going to stay home and not vote or vote third-party if there is nobody else to choose from in 2024, which would likely lead to a Republican win. I would hope that people are not myopic enough to shoot the country in the foot by refusing to vote for Biden just because hes too old
Feels like a coup to them.
but the one thing that gives me at least some comfort is the fact that Republicans and their pundits in the MSM are trying so hard to get Biden off the ticket in 2024, either by finding some evidence of some massive wrongdoing and/or getting him to resign because of his age- or get people to reject Biden because of his age. They certainly seem hellbent on trying to impeach him before/by 2024, however, of course, even if they got an impeachment on a partisan line vote in the House, they will not convict him in the Senate. If they weren't that worried about Biden, they sure aren't acting like it.
