their approach to Impeachment is something that maybe we should consider adding at the Federal level, namely requiring Presidents to temporarily step aside (with the VP substituting?) after being impeached and until the subsequent trial is completed. Seems like if you've done something to warrant impeachment and may potentially be thrown out of office for, you shouldn't be allowed to keep your hands on the wheel and/or able to intimidate/obstruct with the powers of the Presidency. It's just a thought........
Yikes
The article is right in its description of such an action as a "nuclear-level escalation". People from all over the country go to Disney World. His chances of winning a Presidential nomination, let alone a general election, let alone not being literally ridden out of town on a rail would be infinitesimal if he actually did something to REALLY harm Disney.
Their whole "argument" about Joe being involved seems to be
"Do you really think Hunter Biden is "charismatic enough" to be corrupt on his own?" Of course, their whole thing is that Hunter traded on his famous father, Joe's name, so isn't that how he did it then? Why would he have to be "charismatic" to be corrupt?
These people are so zealous to impeach and/or convict the entire Biden family that they don't even stop to think about how they sound and, more importantly, they are ignoring all of the Trump family criminality that has actually already been proven or is in the process of being adjudicated.
Ending this cycle of abuse and weaponization
has to be done somehow. I think that the public would largely be on Biden's side if he ignores the debt ceiling and the Republicans protest. I don't even really understand why we have a "debt ceiling" anyway. I'm sure that there's some history about it but, assuming we don't plan to voluntarily welsh on our debts, what purpose does it even serve and has its usefulness, whatever it was, ended?
I don't believe in primaries
simply "just because". It should be reserved for a real emergency situation if the incumbent is totally incompetent/inappropriate for the job and/or if somebody really have a strong case to make that you can do things better than the incumbent (neither Kennedy nor Williamson are credible candidates) and if neither things apply, you're just creating unnecessary and divisive electoral drama and draining resources that should be spent elsewhere.
I don't necessarily agree it's a winning issue for them
At least not long term. I just think theyre largely taking advantage of peoples general ignorance of a very complex issue, something that they are unfortunately very good at. I suspect that when these laws wind up in courts, most of them likely wont stand bc Republicans will be forced to provide actual evidence and facts, which are not on their side and they wont be able to actually justify them. As one abortion activist once said, pregnancy is too complicated to regulate. I think the same can be said about gender.
