Fuck around and find out...

...asshole.

Sorry, I don't have anything more constructive to add when it comes to news about Covid chuds.

As usual, Junior is stealing his material. In this case, he plagiarized from Emerald Robinson...

...who's best known for being a "reporter" who was so crazy that she got fired from NewsMax. Recently, Elon gave her Twitter privileges back (she lost them shortly after the NewsMax fiasco), and she's since been tweeting crap like this.

A large number of Democrats like @jrpsaki & @RepAdamSchiff are out discussing “mental illness” & “depression” to protect John
Fetterman from criticism.

Don’t be a sucker & fall for it.

They picked a vegetable to be a senator.

Now they want your sympathy.

Give them justice.

So John Fetterman (Vegetable-PA) was hospitalized recently and his wife's response was to gather their kids and drive off to Canada?

Emerald Robinson now has a show on Lindell "TV", in other words, Mike Lindell's crappy website, where she no doubt spouts this kind of garbage on the regular.

Yes, that's my understanding. Not a lot of ways out of it. All I can say is...

...be careful what you wish for, chuds!

Maybe someone here with legal expertise can explain this excerpt better.

As president, Trump enjoyed a virtually absolute and unfettered constitutional authority to declassify virtually almost any government secrets he so wished. But once gone from office, Trump no longer had any legal authority or power beyond that of an ordinary citizen to declassify government papers or; much less leak classified records. Any provision of classified information at that time would be a crime.

I think this may have been hashed out here earlier already. The unique declassification powers of the office of President may indeed be true, but IIRC, this does not give the President the ability to declassify anything they want without going through a legal process. This seems to be supported by certain legal concepts ( e.g. "born secret" ). In other words, Trump doesn't get to declassify, say, documents on nuclear weapons or locations of submarines, and even documents with lesser degrees of classification must still go through a process; Trump doesn't have the power to declassify by decree.

You really have to appreciate the irony. Rice used to be mocked...

...as "an expert in an extinct country" (the USSR). She was seen (correctly) as a Cold War dinosaur in her work for the George W Bush administration. Its pretty funny that her sense of the long view of history in that region now makes her an advocate for the people of Ukraine. Stopped clocks being right twice a day and all that...

Didn't Fox sell off their entertainment division years ago? As I recall, the carriage fee...

...increases were by design (as asserted here) as a result of the Glenn Beck fiasco. Beck ended up having just about every major advertiser bail on him during his short tenure at Fox News. They pretty much had to insulate their shows from commercial pressures, at least if they wanted to continue to go farther and farther to the right with no trend toward moderation.

After all the public freakouts in which Trump has enganged, this shouldn't be...

...surprising to amyone. After all, he's one of the thinnest-skinned public figures who has ever lived. It's likely that Obama chiding him at a WH Correspondents Dinner was the impetus for Trump to run for office. (The chiding was also not unsolicited; Trump had hijacked the "truther" movement re: the Obama birth certificate, and rode that train for more than five years).

"This is the type of errant pedantry up with which I will not put."

(Attributed, possibly apocryphally, to Churchill).

The rule generally is true, but naturalness of sentence structure should prevail, according to at least one modern style manual I've seen. The blog link gives a revised version of the Churchill quote which is more correct, though it also ends in a preposition.

Typical religious fundamentalist crap. It's pretty much a generic thing at this point.

For the Protestants, it's called Quiverfull. For the Catholics, it's one of several forms of radtrad-ism (e.g. SSPX). They're all basically the same when it comes to natalism and gender roles.

They already fired the guy who called Arizona for Biden.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/08/29/trump-2020-election-arizona/

Fox News fired Chris Stirewalt, who called the Arizona election for Biden on behalf of the Fox Decision Desk. It became quite ugly for Fox when Stirewalt went on a speaking tour to promote his book Broken News.
