Has anyone here ever crocheted a queen size bed spread?

I need to replace mine and i was thinking of crocheting one. I was thinking bulky yarn done in strips. I would use a washable yarn.

Sedition

Yesterday I thought this was nonsense, this morning I think there are people guilty of sedition. It is one thing to hold certain positions and ideas, but another to conspire to destroy the United States government. I think that line has been crossed.
We've been here before:

"James M. McPherson suggested in Battle Cry of Freedom that the "Fire-eater" program of breaking up the convention and running a rival ticket was deliberately intended to bring about the election of a Republican as President, and thus trigger secession declarations by the slave-owning states. Whatever the "intent" of the fire-eaters may have been, doubtless many of them favored secession, and the logical, probable, and actual consequence of their actions was to fragment the Democratic party and thereby virtually ensure a Republican victory"

Start with the Kock brothers, Ed Meese and Demint. Check out Ted Cruz holding his "secret" meeting with House Republicans. All of this may be moot in an hour or so, but I think investigations need to be held.

Please give your thoughts on this.

I've never used it before.

I need help finding a book -

I came across it in a mail order catalog this summer- possibly Daedalus or a University Press.

The book compared the reasons for and nature of emmigration from Ireland and England.

Can anyone offer advice on how to search for this book?

Being such a specialized subject, I'm guessing a university press.

At the risk of exemplifying Godwin's Law -

IIRC, Hitler's early backers were wealthy industrialists. Obviously, they never expected nor wanted him to bring down the country around their ears. I think the money men behind the Tea Party and other right wing bastions are experiencing the same regrets. I'm afraid the Tea Party congressmen are out of anyone's control now.

Is Glenn Beck hard at work in DC today?

Glenn Beck, Mike Lee to ‘clean up’ D.C. memorials

I noticed he didn't volunteer to clean up the public rest rooms!

How many people are paying attention to the shut-down and/or debt limit fight?

I haven't heard anyone bring it up in conversation, but then people may be attempting to avoid talking about politics. Has anyone mentioned the situation to you?
