If Obama picked Bernie for Supreme Court, he could put GOP in no win situation

If they block Bernie and he wins the presidency, they look like idiots.

If they let him get on the court, they would look impotent, and decades of their work to establish an oligarchy could be undone in a few years.

POETIC JUSTICE FOR SUPREME COURT STALL: GOP loses Senate & White House

That would be the ultimate karma for eight years of obstructing Obama and for that matter, ten years of talking about Bill Clinton's penis.

BONUS KARMA: Hillary or Bernie appointed first gay, transgendered, Muslim, atheist, Socialist Mexican to Supreme Court (who looks sort of like Scalia).

DNC Chair: Superdelegates Make Sure Party Leaders Don’t Have to Run Against Grassroots Activists

“Unpledged delegates exist, really, to make sure that party leaders and elected officials don’t have to be in a position where they are running against grassroots activists,” Wasserman-Schultz explained.

“We are, as a Democratic Party, really highlight and emphasize inclusiveness and diversity at our convention, so we want to give every opportunity to grassroots activists and diverse committed Democrats to be able to participate, attend, and be a delegate at the convention. So we separate out those unpledged delegates to make sure that there isn’t competition between them,” she added.

“I’m not sure that answer would satisfy an anxious young voter, but let’s move on,” Tapper replied.

After the Iowa caucus (which Clinton won by 0.3%), and the New Hampshire primary (which Sanders won by 22.4%), Clinton currently has 394 delegates, compared to Sanders’ 44, according to Bloomberg. It takes a total of 2,382 delegates to win the Democratic nomination.

What will DLC/centrists/New Democrats in House & Senate do if Bernie is elected president?

Will they follow his lead or side with Republicans in obstructing his agenda?

Quite frankly, that branch of the party is all for party loyalty when they are the beneficiaries.

But if they have to choose between progressive Democratic colleagues or even progressive constituents on the one hand and big donors on the other, they usually go with the money.

What do you think they will do?

If you were born after the end of the Cold War, do you have a visceral reaction to "Socialist"?

or even Communist?

or does it have as much impact as whig, federalist, or the silly walk party?

I am old enough to remember the Cold War, and for all of the Cold War propaganda, I never had the visceral reaction to socialist or even communist the way I do to Nazi, Ku Klux Klan, or to a lesser extent, fascist.

I'm guessing that's even more true for those who grew up after the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction dialed down.

But I could be wrong.

Let me know in the poll and in your comments.
