Anti-gay Nikki Haley haz a sad because she got booed at Pride

Nikki Haley, current U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former anti-same-sex marriage governor of South Carolina, was apparently booed while leaving an NYC restaurant in the middle of the Gay Pride Parade on Sunday. Haley, who in June 2010 declared that "marriage is between one man and one woman," seems upset about the incident:

Haley's record on LGBTQ rights has been spotty, at best. Though as U.N. Ambassador she has spoken out about the violent persecution and murder of gay people in Chechnya, in addition to declaring that marriage should be for heterosexual couples, in November 2013, she opposed a federal lawsuit challenging a ban on gay marriage in South Carolina's state constitution. And as Twitter commentariat pointed out over the weekend, she is part of a presidential administration that has threatened to overturn protections for LGBTQ Americans

NYPD won't round up immigrants under Trump's deportation orders

Police Commissioner James O’Neill had a defiant message for the President on Wednesday — saying his officers will not enforce administrative warrants issued by federal immigration officials as a result of the expansive deportation policies.

“It is critical that everyone who comes into contact with the NYPD, regardless of their immigration status, be able to identify themselves or seek assistance without hesitation, anxiety or fear,” O’Neill said in the sharply worded, 431-word internal memo to police officers.

“The NYPD does not conduct civil immigration enforcement. Specifically, this department does not enforce administrative warrants issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents or federal immigration judges solely in connection with civil immigration violations.

Video: "DONALD TRUMP's presidency is UNDER ATTACK!"

What kind of fascist, tin-pot dictator shit is this?!

And to think that we're just barely over a week in.

Please don't share this photo of Donald Trump.

It is very unflattering and it might make him sad. Whatever you do, don't post it anywhere.

Trump calls for 'major investigation' into voter fraud

Source: CNN

President Donald Trump called on Wednesday for "a major investigation" into voter fraud, following criticism his administration faced for comments the President made earlier this week alleging millions of illegal votes during the general election, without citing any evidence.

"I will be asking for a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD, including those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and ... even, those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time). Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!" Trump wrote in two consecutive tweets.

Trump's comments on voter fraud came Monday during a meeting with congressional leaders. On Tuesday, Trump's press secretary vigorously defended Trump's statement about illegal voters, though neither Trump nor his surrogates could provide evidence that any substantial illegal voting had occurred or influence the popular vote.

Let me guess: there's going to be an "investigation" and it will find exactly what Drumpf wants it to find, and Drumpf will then use it as justification for even more vote suppression tactics. This is going to get very ugly.

The Boston Globe's sports section snuck in a nice subtle shot at the Trump regime

New England’s ticket was punched Sunday night at Gillette Stadium when the Patriots (16-2) overwhelmed the estimable Steelers on a rainy, 40-degree night in front of 66,829 (1 million, according to the White House). Brady toyed with the Steelers’ defense, completing 32 of 42 passes for 384 yards and converting almost every third down. The Patriots’ defense finally played an elite quarterback and they smothered Ben Roethlisberger the same way they stuffed Brock Osweiler and Jared Goff.
