Wouldn't it be fantastic to have the House again?

For forty consecutive years Dems ruled the House-- now it's been 18 awful years of repuke rule-- we've got to get it back.

This "Hillary Shimmy" may have already been posted-- I offer no apologies because it's so amusing

The Doonesbury Trump retrospective proves that Garry Trudeau had Drumpf's number all along

On September 14, 1987, Garry B Trudeau ran the first Doonesbury strip that mentioned Donald Trump, in which his characters marvel that New York's "loudest and most visible asshole" had floated a political trial balloon, hinting that he would run for president; thus began 30 years of marveling at, mocking, and skewering Der Drumpf, so rattling the Short-Fingered Vulgarian that he felt the need to issue a series of wounded denunciations. Now, just in time for the election, Trudeau has released a collection of his Trump-themed strips, Yuge: 30 Years of Doonesbury on Trump, just the thing to put the Republican nominee on tilt.

I did not know any of this-- TRUDEAU ROCKS!!!

OMG, that is HILARIOUS!! Love Lester's expressions

I hope he keeps up with all those bizarre (& infantile) facial expressions-- keeps digging the hole deeper

What the hell is this? "All News Networks Have Refused To Fact Check Trump Live During The Debate"

This is getting more and more surreal

My cats are walking away from everything I feed them-- except tuna (and I know I'm not supposed to feed them that). Has anyone here had that problem? Maybe mine are just snooty...

NYT: Inside the Failing Mission to Save Donald Trump From Himself (Saturday, Aug 13th)

Retitled: Inside the Failing Mission to Tame Donald Trumpís Tongue

...Trumpís mood is often sullen and erratic, his associates say. He veers from barking at members of his staff to grumbling about how he was better off following his own instincts during the primaries and suggesting he should not have heeded their calls for change.

He broods about his souring relationship with the news media, calling Mr. Manafort several times a day to talk about specific stories. Occasionally, Mr. Trump blows off steam in bursts of boyish exuberance: At the end of a fund-raiser on Long Island last week, he playfully buzzed the crowd twice with his helicopter.

But in interviews with more than 20 Republicans who are close to Mr. Trump or in communication with his campaign, many of whom insisted on anonymity to avoid clashing with him, they described their nominee as exhausted, frustrated and still bewildered by fine points of the political process and why his incendiary approach seems to be sputtering.
