Why don't the DU Admins create a Rape Forum for all the rape

threads, such that victims of past sexual violence coming to General Discussion don't have to interact with rape threads and thereby relive their experiences? If the Admins want to avoid hurting anyone's feelings, they could call the Forum 'Human Sexuality' or some such plain-vanilla label.

That way, those who wish to discuss whether women fantasize about rape or not can have at it but victims of past sexual violence don't have to see the issue debated.

I mean, really, it's a matter of common decency. I'm not a victim of rape, but I feel really badly for those who are bumping into the ubiquitous threads in General Discussion. I understand they can 'trash' threads but there are so many threads now that I think one has to ask whether victims should have to use the 'Trash thread' function just to avoid reliving painful memories.

I'm really sick of this, you can probably tell, and not because I'm a prude. I'm just sick of seeing one thread after another in GD centered around the issue.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Now that the giddiness over Obama's victory has somewhat dissipated, can we get back

to confronting the difficult challenges ahead?

Serious question about Benghazi and Rape-publi-scum: what exactly

are they alleging that Obama either did or did not do?

I have not been following the issue very closely and I have been having a difficult time figuring out exactly what it is that has sparked all the grandstanding and poutrage. It seems like many of the DU threads about this presume a baseline context of understanding which I seem to have missed.

Leaving aside the near certainty that Rs are ginning up outrage merely for the purposes of weakening Obama, what exactly are they alleging that Obama did or did not do that was so wrong?

And, corollary, what is the refutation to what they allege?

I'd like to have a better understanding of the issue for battling with the Fucktards on FB and Yahoo.

I guess I need a primer that takes me through the issue. Thanks in advance.

Tin-Foil Hat Time: By my count, at least five senior generals

and admirals have been demoted, fired or forced to step down just in the past month:

Admiral Charles Gaouette - http://www.predatormastersforums.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2328294
General Carter Ham - http://www.westernjournalism.com/general-in-benghazi-scandal-suddenly-retires/
General William Ward - http://thegrio.com/2012/11/13/general-william-kid-ward-demoted-for-lavish-travel-spending/
General John Allen - http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-john-allen-petraeus-jill-kelley-20121113,0,5237129.story
General David Petraeus (Retired from U.S. Army and currently was serving as CIA Director)

This is truly some scary shit. I'm wondering if we dodged the bullet of a military coup d'etat and, if true, whom we should be thanking (besides President Obama).

If you're a Private First Class (Bradley Manning), you get solitary and forced nudity. If you're

a 4-star General (Be-Tray-Us), you get to resign and keep all your pension benefits.

Un-friggin-believable.

Depressing thought of the day - 48% of the country voted for a

Sociopath.

That is some truly scary shit.

My rant about our horrible local television news - I just posted this

on my local CBS affiliate's Facebook page:

I knew there was a good reason I had stopped watching your channel during the invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003. I happened to have my TV tuned to your local news tonight at 11 p.m. and was flabbergasted to see your reporters presenting the presidential race as essentiallly still too close to call. What exactly are you smoking? Romney leads in only 1 battleground state, according to the latest polls. His surrogates (Rove, et. al.) have already started assigning blame for his coming defeat. So to present the race as still too close to call means you haven't changed one iota from 2003. You all are liars, plain and simple. Obama is headed toward a landslide on Tuesday and his eventual triumph will leave Angelenos with even less reason to watch your pathetic drivel.

I usually don't watch local news because it is so dreadful. Happened to leave it on CBS when the Mentalist ended at 11 p.m. Thank God for DU (and DailyKos) is all I can say.
