Rob Portman rescinds endorsement of Donald Trump
In a statement posted to his campaign website, Portman said he instead will be voting for Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who is serving as Trump's running mate. Trump said earlier Saturday he will not be dropping out, and even if he did, it's unclear that Republicans could replace him. So Portman, who had maintained distance with Trump despite previously endorsing him, would likely be casting a protest vote.
"I thought it was appropriate to respect the millions of voters across the country who chose Donald Trump as the Republican Party nominee," Portman said. "While I continue to respect those who still support Donald Trump, I can no longer support him. I continue to believe our country cannot afford a Hillary Clinton presidency."

Georgia Man Tells NPR: If Clinton Wins, ‘Patriots Are Going To Overthrow The Government’
Jimmy Arno and his wife Dani live in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and both say they’re deeply concerned about the direction the United States has been taking in recent years. So Jimmy decided to talk to an NPR reporter and declare that should Hillary Clinton be elected President in November, a second civil war may be necessary:
“Should martial law, civil war — whatever — break out in this country, they will uphold the Constitution and rebuild our loss. The war that’s going to break out if Hillary Clinton’s elected, if that happens. Your patriots are going to overthrow the government.”
Dani said she’s still very upset about a Black Lives Matter protest that was held at the local high school recently. And Jimmy says he cannot for the life of him understand why black people get so upset when they see the Confederate flag being displayed. He also painted a grim picture of what life in the United States is like, in his own twisted opinion:
“If you go to a movie theater, you’re liable to get shot, you go to a mall, you’re liable to get shot. If you go to Atlanta or a major city, you’re liable to be shot or attacked.”

Pence on CBS this morning, no wonder Kaine had to interrupt.
The comentators can't get a word in, they ask a question and Pence goes off on something else and never stops talking.
Ran down the clock and never answered a question. They asked repeatedly about him and the Dons disagreements.

Gov. Haley Orders Coast Evacuation, Declares State of Emergency
Columbia, SC (WLTX) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has ordered an evacuation of many coastal communities and cancelled school in over half of the state in advance of Hurricane Matthew.
An estimated 1.1 million could have to leave their homes, Haley said.
"With winds this high and surge this high, this is not something we want to play with," Haley said. "I don't want to sit there and talk about fatalities. Our goal is to save anybody we can."
Haley said the medical evacuations began Tuesday, and general evacuations are set to start at 3 p.m Wednesday Schools and government offices in the Lowcountry are also closed.
Lane reversals will also begin at that time. (You can see a list of evacuation zones at the bottom of this article)
Haley has also declared a state of emergency, a move that allows her to call up the national guard.
