Watching PBS and they are interviewing BS delegates

Either the BS delegates sent to Philly are uninformed or they have found the most uninformed.

Two of them flat out said the will not vote for Hillary in November, one was at best undecided. And they all said they would not follow Bernie's request to support Hillary. He created a monster he has no control over.

Trump probably can't win Ohio, says state's governor, John Kasich

Trump probably can't win Ohio, says state's governor, John Kasich

A "divider" like GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will have a hard time winning Ohio, an important battleground that could help decide the election in November, said Buckeye State Gov. John Kasich, a former Republican presidential candidate.

"Ohio's a snapshot of the country. People in Ohio want to see a positive agenda, a positive way to move forward," Kasich said Friday in an interview at the Union League of Philadelphia. He attended a fund-raiser for Brian Fitzpatrick, a Bucks County Republican running for an open congressional seat.

Kasich's remarks came a day after Trump accepted the Republican Party's nomination at its convention in Cleveland. Kasich, who dropped out of the presidential primary campaign in May after Trump effectively clinched the nomination, did not attend the convention.

"Without an endorsement, I thought it would be inappropriate for me to go in there and make some kind of a talk," Kasich said.

I heard that they were going to have to change the name of DU to DWS

All DWS, all the time. That way those who can't get enough of bashing Debbie Wassermann Schultz will have somewhere dedicated to doing nothing but posting anti Debbie Wassermann Schultz rhetoric.

Meanwhile, somewhere there is a convention going on and an critical election taking place but some would rather spend all their time protesting the DWS thing.

Ted Koppel interviews Trump supporters at the RNC...

Koppel asked Trump supporter David Jones, "You understand he says some things that are patently untrue, demonstrably untrue."

"I don't know that that's the case," Jones responded.

There is, among many Trump supporters, a mind-set similar to what movie and theater-goers engage in: the willing suspension of disbelief.

As when Trump made these remarks about 9/11:

"I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down, and I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down."
Jones has absolute confidence in that account.

Koppel said, "We live in an era in which, if a kitten falls into a toilet bowl, there are three people with iPhones there that will record the event."

"Yeah."

"If thousands of people on the day that the towers, the twin towers, came down, in this day and age, were out there demonstrating, you don't think one person would have taken a picture of it?"

"It was a very different time," Jones said.

We are not, as Jeff Greenfield underscores, talking about just an occasional fib.

"The Washington Post, when it does its fact checks, they found that roughly two-thirds of his statements are flatly, factually false," Greenfield said. "The dilemma, the limit is, you can't in a newscast say,. 'Donald Trump, who has serially lied his way through the last ...' Can't do that, even if you thought that was factually true."

And even if you could say something like that, media gate-keepers have lost a lot of their impact.

"Donald Trump has recognized that he can have a direct connection to millions of supporters, without having to rely on any third-party infrastructure," said Adam Sharp, head of news, government and elections for Twitter. "It used to be a candidate would have to get booked on the evening news to reach millions of people with that sound bite they wanted to drive the agenda that day. Donald Trump picks up his phone, types a sentence, clicks 'send,' and now millions of people have that message delivered directly to them."

What happens next is far from a foregone conclusion. A recent CBS News/New York Times poll indicates that staggering majorities consider both Trump and Clinton untrustworthy.

Janne Myrdal, a delegate from North Dakota, says she is an evangelical. Koppel asked, "It doesn't bother you this guy's been married three times?"

"Yes, it does. Yes, it does. Yes, it does. But it bothers me more, for the future of my children with somebody ... I know what I'm getting with Hillary. With Trump, we don't know yet. So I agree with you. And you know what? I'm a native of Norway. I'm a citizen now. And my brother called me up the other day, and he said, 'Out of 300 million people in America, you have this buffoon and this criminal family dynasty; can't you come up with somebody else?' And I said, 'Apparently not.' So, that's an honest answer."

I think I know why Ted Cruz screwed Trump

His campaign manager Jeff Roe.

Jeff Roe was the engine behind Ted Cruz campaign and was with him in Cleveland. Jeff Roe is more ruthless than Karl Rove and acts with vengeance. He was involved in many political dirty tricks in Missouri where he built his skills.

Jeff Roe was probably as pissued off at Trump as Cruz and he wanted revenge.

What better revenge than to stick it to Trump on the National stage at his own party?

Jeff Roe will be back and will be playing dirty trick as always, he is young and will be even dirtier than Rove.

That is my take having known Jeff Roe for longer than I would like.

Analysis: The Republican convention as reality TV. Not in a good way

CLEVELAND — Perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise that the Republican National Convention nominating Donald Trump for president would turn out to be less like the traditional glowing infomercial and more like a reality TV show. And not in a good way.

Instead of projecting party unity and reaching out to the undecided voters who will decide the winner in November, the conclave that launched the general election for the GOP has spotlighted splits and stumbles, chaos and conspiracies — a narrative that might be good for attracting ratings but bad for reassuring voters. A series of missteps left it to Trump himself to regain a sense of energy and momentum with a high-stakes, prime-time acceptance speech Thursday night.

In a final indignity, a Democratic super PAC called Correct the Record somehow obtained a draft of Trump's speech and blasted it out to reporters nearly four hours before he was to deliver it. The group's president, Brad Woodhouse, crowed on Twitter that the leak amounted to political "malpractice" by the Trump campaign.

Ivanka Trump Being Sued For Stealing Shoe Designs – See The Side By Side Comparisons

Melania Trump isn’t the only one in her family being accused of stealing ideas from other people, i.e. her speech which turned out to be extremely similar to Michelle Obama’s own speech at the DNC from 2008.

Ivanka Trump is now being accused of copying shoe designs from luxury footwear label Aquazzura, and they’re filing a trademark lawsuit against her for it. They claim she is guilty of “repeated infringement” and “deceptive trade practices.” Several of their top designs were copied, they claim.
