Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) went full what-about when pressed about election denialism

In an interview on ABC’s This Week Sunday, anchor Pierre Thomas — filling in for George Stephanopoulos — confronted the South Carolina senator about Trump’s continued insistence that he was victorious in 2020.

“ He claims to be an election denier, proudly,” Thomas said. “We teach our children when they lose something to shake the opponent’s hand and move on. Are you concerned that the president is a former president is not setting the proper standard going forward here, sir?”

Graham drew a breath and set about the task of equating Hillary Clinton’s rhetoric and actions after the 2016 election to Donald Trump’s.

“Well, you know, Hillary Clinton had the same view that she was cheated,” Graham said. “He’s not the first politician to claim to have been denied a fair election.”

The Senator did, however, go on to say that he flat out believes Trump will lose the 2024 election if he continues to dwell on 2020.

"Only on day one"

Who believes he would only be dictator on day one?
Yes he will be dictator on day one and every day beyond. Why is it so difficult for people to see that?

Barr calls Trump indictment 'tip of the iceberg' in Jack Smith's case

Former Attorney General Bill Barr called former President Trump’s Jan. 6 indictment the “tip of the iceberg,” arguing that special counsel Jack Smith and the Justice Department (DOJ) have “a lot more” evidence to come on Trump’s state of mind.

“The government, in their indictment, takes the position that [Trump] had actual knowledge that he had lost the election and the election wasn’t stolen through fraud,” Barr told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday night. “And they’re going to have to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt, which is a high bar of course. … Now that leads me to believe that we’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg on this.”

When asked if he thinks Smith has more in connection with the indictment, he said he believes DOJ has “a lot more.”

“And that’s one of the things that impressed me about the indictment,” he continued. “It was very spare, and there were a lot of things he could have said in there and I think there’s a lot more to come and I think they have a lot more evidence as to President Trump’s state of mind.”
