George Takei’s Response Is Brilliant - POLITICSMelania Said Billy Bush ‘Egged On’ Trump

George Takei ✔ @GeorgeTakei
Melania says her husband was "egged on" to say things. Really? Because If Billy Bush can get him to do that, imagine what Putin would do.

Report: voter fraud, found incident rates between 0.00004 percent and 0.0009 percent

The Brennan Center’s seminal report on this issue, The Truth About Voter Fraud, found that most reported incidents of voter fraud are actually traceable to other sources, such as clerical errors or bad data matching practices. The report reviewed elections that had been meticulously studied for voter fraud, and found incident rates between 0.00004 percent and 0.0009 percent. Given this tiny incident rate for voter impersonation fraud, it is more likely, the report noted, that an American “will be struck by lightning than that he will impersonate another voter at the polls.”

Whoha! Trump Just Cut Ties With The Ohio GOP

The Donald Trump campaign has issued a statement cutting ties with Ohio GOP Chair Matt Borges. Ohio, a swing state with 20 Electoral College votes at play, is critical to any presidential campaign.

Trump’s Ohio chairman Bob Paduchik is accusing Borges of undermining Trump to take Reince Priebus’s job as chair of the Republican National Committee.

Paduchik wrote a letter to the state community. It read in part:

“It’s no great secret that Chairman Borges was never fully on board, but his actions over the last week demonstrate that his loyalties to Gov. John Kasich’s failed presidential campaign eclipse his responsibility as chairman of the Ohio Republican Party. The chairman is also driven by an apparently insatiable need for publicity.”

If this is true, Trump will have fewer resources in Ohio.

This Republican’s ‘Confession’ From The 1964 Election Is Eerily Appropriate Today

Back in 1964, Barry Goldwater literally scared a significant portion of the electorate into voting for Lyndon Johnson. His rhetoric was so extreme and hard to follow that a life-long Republican filmed a campaign ad for Johnson explaining why he no longer could support the Republican nominee. Sound familiar?

The video shows an unnamed Republican man “confessing” his feelings about the election with gravity and regret in his voice. Of course, the title of the video along with the notion that speaking your feelings is a “confession” is a bit misleading, but we see here something we’ve been privy to throughout the 2016 election as well.

Here’s the ad in its raw format:

Anderson Cooper Fact Checks Trump Campaign Manager Mid-Sentence, Segment FLIES Off Rails

During an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Kellyanne Conway tried her hardest to defend alleged unregistered sex offender Donald Trump. Unfortunately, it’s hard to defend the indefensible, and Conway — just like her candidate during the second presidential debate — was no match for Cooper.

Taking a page from alleged sex offender Donald Trump’s book, Conway tried to argue that Bill Clinton has said and done far worse things than Trump described in the audio that was leaked late last week. First, Conway listed Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky while he was still in office. Then, after naming other indiscretions, she got to the civil lawsuit that Clinton settled with Paula Jones in 1998. Conway argued that Clinton’s $850,000 settlement was proof that the former president was guilty.

Now, the problem with Conway’s argument is not necessarily her claim that settlement implies guilt. The problem, instead, is the double standard she created with her statement, which Cooper caught on to immediately. Cooper said:

‘Your candidate has settled numerous lawsuits without admitting any guilt on a whole number of things.’
