Ferguson said the lawsuit — the first challenge of Trump’s order to be brought by a state — will be backed by declarations from Seattle-based Expedia and Amazon.com, testifying to negative business impacts of Trump’s order.
“We are a country based on the rule of law. In a courtroom, it is not the loudest voice that prevails. It’s the Constitution,” Ferguson, a Democrat, said at a news conference in Seattle.
He said his legal team worked through the weekend to prepare the complaint, which will be filed in U.S. District Court against Trump, the Department of Homeland Security and top administration officials.

Every Republican I know has something wrong with them--otherwise they wouldn't be Republicans-from mommy issues to personality disorders to plain old greed, whatever was once decent about being one is no more than a dirty grease and piss stain under a unrestorable '58 Edsel.

In a state on fire with the flu, has seen a resurgence of mumps, has had babies and elderly die of pertussis. I am on my way to work, to care for no doubt, another round "rule out'" (until they rule in) flu patients--many who are immunocompromised, some of whom will die and have no time to go through this. I can, however state with complete confidence there is nothing in those links that prove a goddamn thing about vaccines and autism. There is no there, there.
The scientific community consensus is that anti-vaxxers are mal-informed and full of shit.
My personal opinion is they are guilty of manslaughter every day.

And by “women’s rights,” organizers have taken care to make it clear that they mean all women of all backgrounds: The official platform the Women’s March on Washington released Friday places the demonstration in the context of not only suffragists and abolitionists but the civil right movement, the American Indian movement, and Black Lives Matter.
Just two paragraphs into the four-page document, they note that “women have intersecting identities and are therefore impacted by a multitude of social justice and human rights issues.” Examples of this, including the especially urgent need for equal pay among women of color and the way they’re uniquely victimized by the criminal justice system, follow in the rest of the platform.
Sounds reasonable, right? But it’s that idea of “intersecting identities” that’s been at the core of criticism of the march, both by would-be participants and by conservative critics.

Anyone claiming to be progressive who ever told a feminist to "lighten up" "words are just words" "Feminism is dead" or "society is post-feminist" "There is no such thing as rape culture" "you are over reacting" "The pearl clutchers are here" " (a term that always makes me think of the song "pearl necklace" by ZZ Top--completely defeating the purpose of the insult, as I laughed my ass off)--when ANY topic from equal pay to the sexualization of little girls to the State of Porn to The State of sex work, to girl power...the topics are endless. Feminists saw Donald Trump in the future. The more hard bitten and visionary predicted him. We told you so. We fucking told you so.
The next morning, Trump fired back on Twitter — calling Batchelder an “arrogant young woman” and accusing her of being a “plant” from a rival campaign. Her phone began ringing with callers leaving threatening messages that were often sexual in nature. Her Facebook and email inboxes filled with similar messages. As her addresses circulated on social media and her photo flashed on the news, she fled home to hide.

Batchelder agreed: “Why would they ever send me out to do a pro-choice question? Guys, [Bush] is pro-life, which was one of my biggest problems with the Republican Party. And so I was like: ‘Why would they ever send me to do that?’”
Logic doesn’t matter to online trolls, who rated Batchelder’s physical appearance, threatened to rape or otherwise hurt her and called her vulgar names. A photoshopped picture popped up online depicting her face covered in semen.
“I love social media, but I also saw the terrible side of social media,” she said. “I definitely tried to focus on something else because when you’re seeing your life being played out in front of you and people are judging it and people are making assumptions about you, you kind of just want to stay away.”

Batchelder turned down interview requests, ignored the nasty messages and threw herself into playing rugby. She became even more interested in women’s issues and wants to be a human rights lawyer. She voted for Hillary Clinton for president.

Summa doctors say leadership needs replacing after ER staffing shakeup
Nothing to do with Trump or the ACA--as far as I know--but what happened is this contracted ER Docs gave management a "no confidence vote" management retaliated by ending the contract with the Docs, and hiring a different group the the head of management's wife is the CEO of. Over the holidays and there was no transition period.
If Anybody from the area knows anything, I would appreciate input. I'm posting this for awareness purposes
Summa said the move came after contract negotiations with SEA broke down due to demands "that were unreasonable, inconsistent with national standards and would cause concerns from a compliance perspective." The affected staff worked at Summa emergency departments at Akron City Hospital and Summa facilities in Barberton, Green, Medina and Wadsworth.
Summa did not immediately reply to questions about the nature of SEA's demands, or which national standards were in question.
Doctors and other staffers with SEA said this week that they were not prepared for the decision, which came with less than two days' notice via memo from Malone. They also expressed concern about a potential conflict of interest in the decision to hire USACS, as that company's CEO, Dr. Dominic Bagnoli, is married to Summa Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vivian von Gruenigen.
Summa maintains the relationship played no role in the health system's decision to terminate SEA's contract or to hire USACS.

NAACP protesters were just arrested during a sit-in to oppose one of Trumps major Cabinet nominees
NAACP president Cornell William Brooks announced the sit-in on Tuesday. And seven hours later, the NAACP protesters were arrested when they refused to leave Sessions’s office.
The sit-in was part of the NAACP’s wider protests against Sessions’s nomination. The civil rights organizations said on Tuesday that it plans to protest in five of Sessions’s Alabama offices — in Mobile, Huntsville, Dothan, Birmingham, and Montgomery. And former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who served in the defense of community activists that Sessions previously prosecuted, sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee asking them to oppose Sessions’s nomination.
“As a matter of conscience and conviction, we can neither be mute nor mumble our opposition to Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions becoming attorney general of the United States,” Brooks said in a statement. “Sen. Sessions has callously ignored the reality of voter suppression but zealously prosecuted innocent civil rights leaders on trumped-up charges of voter fraud. As an opponent of the vote, he can’t be trusted to be the chief law enforcement officer for voting rights.”

The biggest and most well-known way women are objecting to Trump is the Women’s March on Washington, headed by three women of color and expected to draw hundreds of thousands. But women are leading the resistance in many other ways, from a teen magazine that called out Trump when the rest of the media still dealt in false equivalencies to a flood of Planned Parenthood donations made in Mike Pence’s name.
