ELIZABETH WARREN OVERTAKES JOE BIDEN AS FAVORITE TO WIN DEMOCRATIC PARTY'S 2020 PRIMARY: U.K. BOOKMAKER
Elizabeth Warren has overtaken Joe Biden as favorite to win the Democratic Party's 2020 primary, according to a leading British bookmaker. Biden, a former U.S. vice president and senator for Delaware, is leading the polls, but has generated headlines recently for repeated gaffes, a foible of his.
Warren, the current U.S. senator for Massachusetts, is polling around third or fourth place depending on the survey in a wide and diverse field of more than 20 candidates.
The bookmaker Ladbrokes said it now has Warren at 9/4 favorite to win the Democratic nomination in 2020. Biden slipped to 11/4. Joint third are Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, an independent socialist, and the party's California Senator Kamala Harris. Both are on 6/1.

Colores, colores by Bacilos - great Spanish song addressing racism
Bacilos was a Latin pop band based in Miami. They won Grammy awards for Best Latin Pop Album in 2003 and 2005 and numerous awards throughout South America. The group broke up in 2007.
Their song Colores, colores has been used high school Spanish classes all over the country, so there are many, many videos of the song on YouTube with photos and lyrics (often with a few spelling errors). It works well with upper elementary students too. This is one example of a student project, but you will find many more.

On October 2017, the band decided for a reunion and released their latest hit, "Por Hacerme el Bueno". In August 2018, the band released their fourth studio album "¿Donde Nos Quedamos?".
Active Shooter at Cielo Vista Mall area in El Paso
No details. Just heard it now on MSNBC. They said it was at a Walmart that is next to the mall.
I guess it's because I'm white!
Today I was sitting at the McDonald's and this old white woman ( she mentioned that she was 80) sits down next to me.
I said hello and she was nice at first. I mentioned that there was another shooting and she said "Well, that's what happens when we start having all those people coming over."
I said "I don't think this has anything to do with people coming over. What are you trying to get at?"
She said "Well, did you hear about that Japanese guy that is running for president?"
I let into her. I said "First of all Andrew Yang is an American citizen. He was born here."
I also said "He's a Japanese-american" and then I thought about it and looked it up and he isn't even Japaneses, his parents were from Taiwan"
She said "Well, all I know is what he said in the interview. Did you see the interview?"
I asked her what channel it was on and she said Channel 26 - local FoxNews affiliate.
I said "Well, that's your first mistake, watching FoxNews. You're just an racist old lady."
At that she got up and said "It's great that we live in a country where be both can have our own opinions."
I said "Yes, you can have your own opinions but you don't get to have your own facts. What you said is just not true and you are just a racist old lady.
I guess it's because I'm a 60 year-old white lady that makes racists think that I will agree with them when they are being racists but they have another thing coming because I don't put up with people being racist in front of me.
I have a challenge for everyone!
President Trump posted pictures of a trashed out neighborhood in Baltimore and said that no one would want to live there.
I challenge everyone, particularly if you live in a Republican district or city, to go out and take some pictures of trashed out places in your district to shows that this is not just in Democratic districts with Democratic representatives.
I live in the Spring Branch neighborhood in Houston, which has some really nice areas and I'm pretty sure I can find some awful looking blocks in my neighborhood which elected Dan Crenshaw (R) last year.
We could figure out some good memes to attach to them.

There is not one candidate...
in the Democratic Presidential race that I would not vote for over Donald Trump up to and including Marianne Williamson, Andrew Yang, or Tom Steyer (provided that he's running as a Democrat.

Joe Biden throws own campaign into turmoil after Harris attacks his record on race
Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN
Updated 10:48 AM ET, Fri June 28, 2019
Washington (CNN)Joe Biden stumbled into a potential campaign-defining moment Thursday that pitched his effort to win the Democratic nomination onto suddenly shaky ground.
Reeling from an attack by a much younger rival, Kamala Harris, the 76-year-old delivered an unfortunate soundbite at the Democratic debate that threatens to symbolize his biggest political liability.
"My time is up," he said, meaning to cut short one of his own answers but instead drawing attention to a question that haunts his campaign: Has his generation's time come and gone?
Harris' assault was breathtaking, appeared planned ahead of time and exposed a willingness to attack she had not previously shown in a campaign that started strong but has slumbered ever since.

Saw a sign yesterday..
PUBLIC PARK
No Loitering
Isn't that sort of what people do in a park? Doesn't that give the police carte blanche to arrest some without any real crime being committed? I understand that they don't want people hanging out to solicit jobs or dealing drugs but isn't this kind of a blanket sign to allow police to arrest anyone they want?
