Tears.

They mean so much to me. I've deeply loved so, so many animals...there have been only 2 in my 70+ long yrs that I could not attach to in that way.

Love is love, despite the species. Where there's sensitivity, mutual respect, & great attachment, there's love.

I see animals as beings; they've never been "things" to me, even as a child. (I grew up on a farm, btw, so there was great conflict in my life. Still is.)

Was a pt of contention in my house.

I was frustrated & thus was bashing Garland early on; my too patient, wait until the ice caps melt husband* was defending Garland.

*Hubby was once afraid I was acting too hastily in wanting to call the cops on our local movers; they got away with 7 big boxes, one of which was my big, beautiful jewelry box & a ton of family pictures.

Sounds like a coup in some Banana Republic, no?

All the safeguards of our constitutional government seemed compromised. The reich-wing has controlled too much, intimidated too much.

Reich-wing radio and FuxNoise have functioned well as any military coup. There's that extremely disgruntled base looking to blame anyone but themselves. And the "Founding Fathers" are rolling in their graves.
JFC!

Should we even wonder? Or blame them?

A Sea Shepherd and
Ocean Conservancy donor here.

These are intelligent, under-estimated, under-respected critters....as are most Cetaceans.

Seriously, is there a more destructive species than man?

THIS ⬆⬆.

Yes, it's treason if info was passed that resulted death of agents or great harm to our country.

Fleece is "the woolly coat of an animal."

There should be class action lawsuits for this scam❗

We've pumped so much groundwater that we've nudged the Earth's spin, says new study

https://phys.org/news/2023-06-weve-groundwater-nudged-earth.html

By pumping water out of the ground and moving it elsewhere, humans have shifted such a large mass of water that the Earth tilted nearly 80 centimeters (31.5 inches) east between 1993 and 2010 alone, according to a new study published in Geophysical Research Letters.

Based on climate models, scientists previously estimated humans pumped 2,150 gigatons of groundwater, equivalent to more than 6 millimeters (0.24 inches) of sea level rise, from 1993 to 2010. But validating that estimate is difficult.

One approach lies with the Earth's rotational pole, which is the point around which the planet rotates. It moves during a process called polar motion, which is when the position of the Earth's rotational pole varies relative to the crust. The distribution of water on the planet affects how mass is distributed. Like adding a tiny bit of weight to a spinning top, the Earth spins a little differently as water is moved around.

"Earth's rotational pole actually changes a lot," said Ki-Weon Seo, a geophysicist at Seoul National University who led the study. "Our study shows that among climate-related causes, the redistribution of groundwater actually has the largest impact on the drift of the rotational pole.

Incredible...and just amazing! 40 days!!

What a harrowing experience for those poor children! That had to have been extremely traumatizing. 13, 9, & 5!!! Just wow!!

JUST LOOK AT THESE POOR BABIES!

(My son flew into Bogota with his g.f. about 5yrs ago where her U.S. friend was working at the time. I doubt that even IF they could have survived a plane crash, they couldn't have survived in the Amazon forest that long.)

There's far more proof of UFO's than ...

..there are of biblical stories.

Thank you! And I agree...

superstition should never supersede knowledge.

Edit to add story...
My son is dating and in love with a lovely Indian girl and they've become very serious. Weddings are being discussed, one here and one in Locknow which is only 3hrs from the Himalayas. Being that close, why not go? I'm already excited. I've have traveled across the U.S. by car a couple of times; have lived in Cambridge, England for 3yrs and traveled in Europe...and in China for 6 weeks, but have never been in India...or in South America or in Africa. (Wouldn't Africa be a dream? My favorite movie is Out of Africa.). I'm almost too old to do much any more tho.
