So was Hillary. But we never hear that mentioned here, do we?
Those who put labels over principles are narrow minded and usually have some ax to grind. We might even say they're unprincipled.
I just aim to dethrone that psychopathic narcissist.
Thank you! I got an email off to our old friends from Shanghai yesterday, wishing them a Happy New Year.
Yes, I understand about that guitar being too warm. Zeke had a few different guitars and although he wasn't the best player, he so loved the Blues. He performed as one of Furry Lewis' regular second guitarists. (He was a teacher by profession.)
The fellow playing above, Edward Phillips, is most exceptional in his ability to create that "raw Mississippi sound." Thanks; it was a joy to listen to him. Zeke was born in Mississippi, btw; his dad was a state senator.
in "Blowout," her new book.
Rachel Maddow pinpoints the root of all evils: The fossil fuel industry
The fossil fuel industry has warped democracies, poisoned people, fostered corruption and ruined the environment, writes Rachel Maddow.
Her new book, Blowout, takes on the fossil fuel industry or, as one person she cites puts it, the excrement of the devil. This is not and who would expect it from Maddow? an on the one hand, on the other hand type of journalistic endeavor. She states her thesis at the outset: The oil and gas industry is the most consequential, the most lucrative, the most powerful, and the least-well-governed major industry in the history of mankind.
...The industry is so rich, so ginormous, so intertwined with every aspect of our lives and the lives of everyone on Earth that, if you follow the dots, it explains how almost everything in the world works ultimately, she warns, it will fatally injure the whole freaking planet.
Rachel said on her program that this was not the book she intended to write when she began investigating this administration's connections to Russia. She began to realize it was about oil, that "all roads led to the oil" and gas, as she put it.
So, how can we ever utilize alternative energy sources when we so obsessed with oil and fossil fuels? It's almost like a religion - the PTB cannot see the light and move on.
Missing my friend who just passed. He would have loved this.

It's going to break Wall Street banks if they don't prepare. There's no escaping it; so economically speaking, we must adopt alternative energy sources.
from the article...
Sen. Elizabeth Warren sent a series of letters to the nations largest banks Wednesday asking them to turn over their plans for how they will prepare for the financial risks of climate change.
As climate change continues to affect our economy, it is critical to understand your bank's adaptation and mitigation strategies, Warren wrote.
Forgive link to The Hill- was the only one I found at the moment (lost original & unwilling to dig rt now. )
"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
- Winston Churchill
Not much help but posters above have explanations. The Rethugians actually have think tanks helping create these lying talking points.
As Rachel said: Oil $$$$ is their bottom line. All roads lead to it.
They are so myopically focused on staying in office & THAT's all they care about. Whatever it takes.
They're almost as stupid as the people who vote for them.
The pain was worse than my labor pains for my 10lb son!! Truth.
(Labor with my daughter however was most painful in so many ways. She was transverse and my doc wouldn't believe I was in labor until my husband told him that I was passing vernix, my labor was so hard. My poor daughter died.)
And because of the most urgent nature of global warming. He and his network have suppressed truth. We're running out of time to save our very lives. We badly need legislation curbing fossil fuels and supporting alternatives. Murdock is the #1 reason this isn't happening.
Any skeptics here should read Bill McKibben, James Hansen, Michael Mann, etc.
