BEWARE - Florida Covid-19 numbers will be artificially deflated for a few days
State-run labs were closed Thursday afternoon in preparation for a possible hurricane coming thru the state. They will slowly reopen across the state and should all be open by Wednesday, Aug 5.
Now, this isn't ALL labs...just the state-run ones (like Orange County Convention Center). Private labs and hospitals will still be testing.
However, submission of results will also likely be delayed/reduced due to likely lower staffing at labs and at the state DOH.
FL saw the lowest # of tests/cases in about 6 weeks today. That's most likely an artificial drop.
