So after CIA Director John Brennan told Mitch McConnell abt Russia's interference in the 2016 election, McConnell responded by saying he wouldn't sign on to any statements condemning Russian interference but he would condemn Brennan/the CIA & the Obama admin for coming forward.


We already knew this happened when President Obama approached Mitch McConnell, but this is the first account that I've heard describing McConnell rejecting a request from the CIA Director to sound the alarm about Russia.

Yet another allegation has come up against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The Senate Judiciary Committee posted a letter from an individual. Kavanaugh was asked about the evening prior to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony last week. The individual’s name was censored, but the content is violent and disturbing.

“Kavanaugh and a friend offered me a ride home,” the person wrote in her letter. “I don’t know the other boy’s name. I was in his car to go home. His friend was behind me in the backseat. Kavanaugh kissed me forcefully. I told him I only wanted a ride home. Kavanaugh continued to grope me over my clothes, forcing his kisses on me and putting his hand under my sweater. ‘No,’ I yelled at him.”

The source said that the boy in the backseat reached around and put his hand over the source’s mouth and held her to keep her in the car.

“I screamed into his hand. Kavanaugh continued his forcing himself on me,” the source continued. “He pulled up my sweater and bra exposing my breasts, and reached into my panties, inserting his fingers into my vagina. My screams were silenced by the boy in the backseat covering my mouth and groping me as well.”

The accuser then said that Kavanaugh slapped her and told her to be quiet before forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

The texts between Berchem and Karen Yarasavage, both friends of Kavanaugh, suggest that the nominee was personally talking with former classmates about Ramirez’s story in advance of the New Yorker article that made her allegation public. In one message, Yarasavage said Kavanaugh asked her to go on the record in his defense. Two other messages show communication between Kavanaugh's team and former classmates in advance of the story.

The texts also demonstrate that Kavanaugh and Ramirez were more socially connected than previously understood and that Ramirez was uncomfortable around Kavanaugh when they saw each other at a wedding 10 years after they graduated. Berchem's efforts also show that some potential witnesses have been unable to get important information to the FBI.

NBC News notes that Kavanaugh told the Judiciary Committee under oath that the 1st time he heard about Deborah Ramirez's allegation was in the New Yorker article. These text messages would seem to refute that timeline, if accurate.
