The New Yorker nails it this week with a cover showing Mitt Romney driving a car with Rick Santorum strapped on top in a dog house. Brilliant.

(LOL) Donald Trump: George Will is ‘overrated fool’
Donald Trump: George Will is overrated fool
I think hes a totally overrated fool. I think this guy is so overrated. I dont think hes really smart, he looks smart with the little glasses and hair swept to the side, Trump said on Fox & Friends. That was one of the dumbest (comments).
I think hes a totally overrated pundit.
There would come a point when
conservatives turn their energies to a goal much more attainable than
electing Romney or Santorum president, Will wrote. It is the goal of retaining control of the House and winning control of the Senate.
Repeatedly calling the writer a hack, Trump, who has endorsed Mitt Romney, said Monday, That he can say that is just incredible because I really think the Republicans, in the form of Mitt Romney, have a great chance to take the White House.
He continued, When fuel hits $5, when your gasoline bill hits $5 a gallon this summer, and maybe $6, and maybe $7, because we have nobody to speak for us, I think Mitt Romney has a great chance of winning.

FBI probes former News Corp investment
Source: Financial Times
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has been scrutinising a Russian billboard company controlled until last year by News Corp, suggesting that US investigators are conducting a wider probe into Rupert Murdochs media company than previously thought.
News Corp declined to comment but one person familiar with the inquiry said FBI agents who are investigating allegations of phone hacking, bribery and other corrupt practices at its London newspapers had also been asking questions about News Outdoor Russia because they were trying to look for a culture of corruption at the company.
News Outdoor Russia could not immediately be reached for comment. But a spokesman for the Russian company told the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the story, that it was not possible that employees could have paid bribes to officials or engaged in other forms of corrupt behaviour.

The “sluts” at Fox News have the health insurance benefit that Sandra Fluke was talking about.
Chris Wallace: Fox News covers contraception for female employees - During a discussion about womens health issues on Sunday, Fox News host Chris Wallace revealed that the insurance provided by the conservative news network included oral contraceptives. Before coming on today, I checked with the women here at Fox News and it turns out that Fox News health coverage does cover theres a co-pay but it does cover contraception, Wallace explained. When it comes to contraception, you know the idea that and were not talking about religious institutions. According to the Blunt amendment, any U.S. Steel, as I said, Fox News, any company could simply decide, we are not going to offer that. An insurance company could decide, one that has no ties to any religious organization.
|| Theres an FYI for Limbaugh and his zombie hoard the sluts at Fox News have the health insurance benefit that Sandra Fluke was talking about.

McCain: Limbaughs Attacks Are Totally Unacceptable, Should Be Condemned By Everyone
By Alex Seitz-Wald on Mar 5, 2012 at 10:00 am
In back-to-back TV appearances this morning, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) strongly condemned Rush Limabugh for his assault on Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke. His remarks are totally unacceptable. Totally and completely unacceptable. And theres no place for it, McCain said on CNN. Those statements were unacceptable in every way and should be condemned by everyone, he added on CBS. Watch it:
McCain did not reference the apology Limbaugh offered this weekend, but many including at least two advertisers have been unsatisfied with it, as the radio host expressed little contrition and used the venue to further his false attacks on Fluke.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who has been the most outspoken religious leader against President Obamas new contraception mandate, which sparked this whole controversy, spoke out against Limbaugh yesterday, saying the conservative entertainer should not be so pugnacious. Whatever we do, and however strongly we feel, we do it charitably, we do it civilly, Dolan said. We dont judge the motives of other people.
Meanwhile, Christine Todd Whitman, the former Republican governor of New Jersey and Bush EPA administrator, said Limbaughs statement was hardly an apology, and also criticized lawmakers in her own party. What is more to the point, and an issue for Republicans, is holding a hearing on contraceptives without a woman on the panel.

States of Depression - By PAUL KRUGMAN
States of Depression
By PAUL KRUGMAN
Published: March 4, 2012
Were talking big numbers here. If government employment under Mr. Obama had grown at Reagan-era rates, 1.3 million more Americans would be working as schoolteachers, firefighters, police officers, etc., than are currently employed in such jobs.
And once you take the effects of public spending on private employment into account, a rough estimate is that the unemployment rate would be 1.5 percentage points lower than it is, or below 7 percent significantly better than the Reagan economy at this stage.
One implication of this comparison is that conservatives who love to compare Reagans record with Mr. Obamas should think twice. Aside from the fact that recoveries from financial crises are almost always slower than ordinary recoveries, in reality Reagan was much more Keynesian than Mr. Obama, faced with an obstructionist G.O.P., has ever managed to be.
More important, however, there is now an easy answer to anyone asking how we can accelerate our economic recovery. By all means, lets talk about visionary ideas; but we can take a big step toward full employment just by using the federal governments low borrowing costs to help state and local governments rehire the schoolteachers and police officers they laid off, while restarting the road repair and improvement projects they canceled or put on hold.

NBC/WSJ poll: Primary season takes ‘corrosive’ toll on GOP and its candidates
Source: MSNBC
How damaging has the primary season with all of its debates, attack ads and scrutiny -- been for the Republican Party?
Forty percent of all adults say the GOP contest so far has made them feel less favorable about the party, while 12 percent say they now have a more favorable impression. Forty-seven percent say its had no impact.
Even among Republicans, 23 percent maintain the primary season has given them a less favorable opinion of the party, versus 16 percent who say its been positive.
..................
When it comes to President Obama, the poll contains mostly good news. Fifty percent approve of his job his highest mark in the NBC/WSJ survey since Osama bin Ladens death and 45 percent disapprove.

A Challenge to Rush: Prove Your Ratings---"His audience is a myth. He is a paper tiger."
Cenk Uygur Host of The Young Turks
A Challenge to Rush: Prove Your Ratings
How many listeners does Rush Limbaugh have? Well, in the press there are only two numbers you'll ever see -- 20 million or 15 million. Those are large numbers, so that is why Limbaugh is taken seriously and is believed to be influential.
...............
But one thing is for sure -- he's hurt, dog! That's why we see the unprecedented apology from him on Sandra Fluke. When this controversy first broke, I predicted on our show that more advertisers would drop him (at the time, only two had). Advertisers are much more likely to drop a controversial guy if his numbers are already down. They'll ride it out if he's still delivering the goods. This is the same thing that happened to Imus. His ratings were miserable already, so advertisers didn't have enough incentive to stick with him when trouble arose.
So, Rush is in big trouble now as more and more advertisers peel off. He's in a tail spin. Why else would you triple down on the "slut" comments from Wednesday to Friday and then issue an apology on Saturday? He has over-reached (in his offensive comments) and undelivered (in his ratings). That's a lethal combo.
But Rush can easily prove me wrong. So, I'm issuing a challenge to him -- show us your ratings. He won't do it because he's embarrassed by them. He has never produced evidence of his ratings and he certainly won't do it now. In fact, I'll make a Mitt Romney like wager. I'll give him $10,000 if he can show us his 20 million listeners.
