How 2,000+ Americans Described the Trump Administration (in Two Words)

I recently asked readers of my Twitter account to describe the first 100 days of the Trump administration in two words. More than 2,000 readers responded, and while many of the responses were profane — and some didn’t quite follow the prompt — a trend among the replies was evident: Americans, or at least the 100,000 or so who follow my Twitter feed, have almost nothing positive to say about the current occupant of the White House.

Below I’ve listed several hundred of the responses I received to my query. Be warned: graphic language abounds here, and avid Trump supporters may find themselves repeatedly triggered.

Impeach him! Promises broken. Ugh, why? Apocalypse Now. Shit sandwich. Triple bogey. The fuck? Shit poodle. Bigly disaster. Global embarrassment. Too long. (Unintelligible) (unintelligible). Tremendously flaccid. Epic fail! You’re fired. Total shitgibbonry. Dystopian horror. Monetizing treason. Russian idiot. Hillary won. National embarrassment. High treason. Kleptocracy agenda. Overdue impeachment. President Nightmare. Must impeach. Malicious incompetence. Russia, mostly. Uncontrollable shitnado. American kleptocracy. Utterly clueless. Pee tape. International embarrassment. Fourth Reich. Volcano diarrhea. Grifter dynasty. Hate-filled squatter. Malignant mass. Waking nightmare. Embarrassing, terrifying. 100% failure. Daily insanity. As expected. Sleepless nights. Increased Xanex. Completely insane. Uniquely unqualified. Unprecedented failure. Total disaster. Orange plague. Deeply terrifying. Breathtaking incompetence. Trumptonian disaster. Epic failure. Malevolent incompetence. Diarrhea typhoon. Obamacare won. Putin’s puppet. Bigly inept.

What surprised me most about the responses I received is that none — as in literally none — assessed the first 100 days of Trump’s presidency positively.

OUCH: Ahead of Trump's 100th day mark, Obama says Obamacare is more popular than Trump

Obama Notes Obamacare Is More Popular than Trump

New York (CNN)Former President Barack Obama hailed the political resilience of his signature health care law at a private event Thursday, pointing out that Obamacare is now more popular than his successor trying to repeal it: President Donald Trump.

As Republicans in Washington sputtered again this week in their efforts to undo the law, Obama noted to an audience in midtown Manhattan that "the Affordable Care Act has never been more popular -- and it's more popular than the current president," according to a person in the room who paraphrased the comments.

Trump has recorded historically low approval ratings for a new president, while public opinion on the health care law has improved gradually amid Republican efforts to get rid of it.

Obama also predicted Thursday that it will be challenging for Trump and fellow Republicans to make any sweeping changes to a law that now provides health insurance for so many people, as he remarked how difficult it was for him to get Obamacare enacted into law in 2009.
