Sarah Palin: Hillary Clinton may change mind on abortion once she’s grandma to ‘real baby’

“Also,” she added, excitedly, “her daughter Chelsea is pregnant with the baby — it’s a real baby, not just some disposable something.”

“Now, I know that’s going to be controversial, but those who are, perhaps, in the position now to be a parent or a grandparent, they realize about the sanctity of life. How innocent, precious it is,” she said.

“And of all places, it should be in the womb that these babies are protected — so maybe even on a social issue like that, she’ll open her eyes.”

Amazing Bit of Data: The rate of teenage abortions per year-NOW LOWER-than it was before Roe v Wade

An Amazing Bit of Data
The rate of teenage abortions per year is now lower than it was before Roe v Wade. See the chart.

The teen pregnancy rate was lower in 2010 than it was before the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that enshrined abortion rights in the Constitution, according to new findings.

A study by the Guttmacher Institute released Monday found that teen pregnancy has "declined dramatically" since a peak in the early 1990s. The pregnancy rate per 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 19 was lower than it was before the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.

Hillary Clinton Goes THERE: "Gun control laws have grown too lax and need to be tightened"

Clinton: Gun laws too lax

Gun control laws have grown too lax and need to be tightened, Hillary Clinton said Tuesday during a conference in Washington, D.C.

“We’re way out of balance,” said the former secretary of State. “We have to reign in what has almost become an article of faith that anybody anywhere can own a gun.”

Clinton didn’t call for any specific new legislation, but said that it should be possible to make gun laws that protect society yet “still support the vast majority of people to own guns.”

The early favorite to win the Democratic nomination for the White House in 2016 made the remarks at the 2014 National Council for Behavioral Health Conference.

Ex-Christie Aide: There Are 'Inaccuracies' In Governor's Self-Exoneration

Testimony given Tuesday by a former member of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's administration raised more questions about a report clearing Christie of any involvement in the George Washington Bridge scandal:

"'Mandatory directive' were not my words," Renna said. "If you notice, they are not in quotation marks. That was Gibson Dunn's words. That was their characterization. They are never words I would have used. I would never use 'mandatory directive,' except in one incident which we can circle back to. They were not my words."

Weinberg asked Renna whether she had a chance to correct Gibson Dunn's characterization of her interview before it was released publicly.

Renna replied that she had not been given the opportunity.

"There are minor facts in my interview throughout it that are just, you know -- there are some inaccuracies," she said.

Putin Human Rights Council Accidentally Posts REAL Crimean Elec Result-Only 15% Voted For Annexation

Source: Forbes

Putin's Human Rights Council Accidentally Posts Real Crimean Election Results; Only 15% Voted For Annexation

The website of the “President of Russia’s Council on Civil Society and Human Rights” posted a blog that was quickly taken down as if it were toxic radioactive waste. According to the Council’s report about the March referendum to annex Crimea, the turnout was a maximum 30%. And of these, only half voted for annexation – meaning only 15 percent of Crimean citizens voted for annexation.

The fate of Crimea, therefore, was decided by the 15 percent of Crimeans, who voted in favor of unification with Russia (under the watchful eye of Kalashnikov-toting soldiers).

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

To make sure no one misses this:

Official Kremlin results: 97% for annexation, turnout 83 percent, and percent of Crimeans voting in favor 82%.

President’s Human Rights Council results: 50% for annexation, turnout 30%, percent of Crimeans voting in favor 15%.

Finally A Benghazi Scandal With Legs--Sen Graham Coordinated With Lara Logan On Benghazi Smear Piece

Ruh-roh - looks like Sen. Lindsey "DuBois" Graham may have coordinated illegally with the awful Lara Logan on her Benghazi smear piece. From Media Matters:

While the walls were collapsing around Lara Logan at CBS News last year in the wake of her bungled Benghazi report on 60 Minutes, and as more and more holes appeared in her poorly-sourced report about the terror attack, the foreign correspondent reached out to a Republican senator and fierce White House critic for advice and counsel.

The partisan move, in which Logan solicited help from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) -- who's been professionally committed to pushing the tale of a White House cover-up surrounding the September 11, 2012 terror attacks -- suggests Logan viewed both Benghazi and her spin control mission through a political prism.

Indeed, Logan even met several times with Graham while preparing the initial Benghazi story, according to a new report in New York magazine. The senator did not appear in the 60 Minutes report but when the report aired he immediately took to the television airwaves to tout it as a "death blow" to the Obama administration's telling of the Benghazi attacks and their response to it. In retrospect, this looks suspiciously like coordination: Graham helped shape the Benghazi story with an anti-White House angle and then forcefully cheerled it, even announcing he'd block every White House appointee until he got answers about Benghazi. Once trouble erupted, the senator was naturally there for Logan when she called for help.

Meanwhile, CBS is still dodging the question about partisan politics and how much of a driving force it might have been in Logan's report. The New York article notes that not only did Logan seek counsel from Graham, but that she had a history of producing "the kind of stories that kept 60 Minutes immune to criticism from the right."

Recall that one of the key conclusions from the panel review of the Bush story was that political bias did not play a role in how the controversial 2004 story was put together. For the Benghazi story, it's impossible to know if CBS was equally free of prejudice because there hasn't been an independent assessment of the reporting process.

Which brings us right back to the central question from 2013: What is CBS hiding about Lara Logan?

Not enough lipstick on this pig for George Will...

GEORGE WILL: "Would there be a select committee if it didn't want to have the power to subpoena the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for obviously reasons pertaining to presidential politics?"

GORE: You can't admit that there is man-made global warming & expect to survive in Republican Party

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/05/03/al-gore-on-corruption-in-politics-and-media/

AL GORE:

Here’s an analogy. You think of a family of an alcoholic father who flies into a rage every time the word alcohol is mentioned. Well, the rest of the family sometimes learns to never mention the gorilla in the middle of the room in order to avoid the rage. Well, that is what happens to some in the news media. … they get told by the conglomerate owners and managers hitting the bottom line: Our ratings go down if you make this percentage of people so angry that they switch the channel.

I don’t pretend to understand all of it, but I know that virtually every news and political talk show on television across the dial, one of the three largest advertisers is the American Petroleum Institute, the coal industry, the oil industry, the oil companies, the gas companies. It’s not uncommon to say, “Look I don’t want my ad to be adjacent to a story about the following list of issues.” In any case, there’s been an issue of coverage. I think that’s changing now a little bit, thankfully.

But anyway, the point I was trying to make is, I didn’t polarize it. When I started my efforts after the White House, I had Republicans joining with me to do it, and then there was a new orthodoxy enforced in the Republican Party. A law was laid down: You cannot admit that there is such a thing as man-made global warming and expect to survive in the Republican Party.
