Nope, no racism here! GA Officials Are Going After Black Leaders Who Organized Voters

On the morning of December 21, 2010, Lula Smart was preparing to leave for her job at Sears when she heard a firm knock at her front door. An array of law enforcement vehicles had amassed outside, and armed officers were fanning out around her house. Before that day, Smart had no rap sheet to speak of, only a masterís degree in criminal justice earned earlier that year. While she enjoyed her work in retail, Smart hoped to transition into a job more like that of her unannounced visitors, who would read her a dizzying list of felony voting fraud charges that amounted to more than 100 years in prison. Handcuffed, Smart soon met nine other incarcerated African Americans who had participated in a vigorous get-out-the-vote campaign ahead of an election the previous month. Three of those jailed had been elected to the local school board.

Brown Forgets Where He's Running
Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA), now running for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire, attacked Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) on the crisis at the border telling Boston Herald radio that he's "not for amnesty and never have been, I have not supported the Dream Act, she has. And that's a big difference between Senator Shaheen and me and many other people in the Massachusetts delegation."

The Hill: "It's not the first time he's slipped and forgotten he's no longer representing Massachusetts or running for a seat in that state."

how about just STFU DICK:

Robert Reich: "We're on the cusp of the largest inter-generational wealth transfer in history."

The wealth is coming from those who over the last three decades earned huge amounts on Wall Street, in corporate boardrooms, or as high-tech entrepreneurs.

It's going to their children, who did nothing except be born into the right family.

The "self-made" man or woman, the symbol of American meritocracy, is disappearing. Six of today's ten wealthiest Americans are heirs to prominent fortunes. Just six Walmart heirs have more wealth than the bottom 42 percent of Americans combined (up from 30 percent in 2007).

House Speaker John Boehner held his weekly press conference on Tuesday to talk about -- among other things -- the Highway Trust Fund, the state of the economy and how to deal with the ongoing crisis at the country's southern border. He also found time to throw in a wink.

According to Boehner spokesman Michael Steel, the wink came in response to questioning by Politico's Jake Sherman about whether Boehner had ideas for legislation to deal with the border. "Iíve got lots of them," the Speaker replied. Sherman asked for details. Boehner demurred -- with a wink!
