highplainsdem's JournalRemember it. Bought a lot of issues, along with other music magazines, especially Rolling Stone. Did
not save any of them for very long.
God, we could easily get buried, physically buried, in magazines back then.
I typically bought or subscribed to music magazines, science fiction magazines (the old digest size magazines as well as Omni), Scientific American, Smithsonian, Newsweek, Prevention, usually at least one fashion magazine, and the New Yorker, and I'd usually save the magazine and book review sections from the Sunday NY Times, which I'd get delivered by a guy who drove to an airport in another city in the wee hours of Sunday mornings to get the papers there, then would deliver one to my door for $5 or $6 (this was nearly 40 years ago). As well as any odd magazines with articles or recipes that struck me as interesting.
Thought occasionally it would be nice to keep them if I had infinite room and a reliable index for all of them.

But honestly, I've never met a cat who wasn't both smarter AND much more human (and humane) than Putin.

The 3 Russian astronauts who just reached the space station wore colors matching Ukraine's flag
I'm seeing lots of tweets about this. Here's one, from a WaPo editor:

The NY Times story points out it's possible they were trying to match the colors of their university, but those include gold rather than yellow and these colors do look more like Ukraine's flag.
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/18/science/russian-astronauts-yellow-blue-flight-suits-ukraine.html
Eric Berger, a space reporter at the website Ars Technica, said the flight suits are usually prepared and packed months in advance but that substitutes could have been added among the last items to be loaded on the spacecraft.
Jonathan McDowell, a scientist at the Harvard Center for Astrophysics who closely follows space missions, suggested the colors might actually be those of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, which all three of the astronauts Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveev and Sergey Korsakov attended. An official from the university spoke as a guest on the Russian livestream of the launch on Friday.
Mr. Berger, however, noted that the colors of the flight suit more closely matched those of the Ukrainian flag.
