Trump Will Make Reducing National Debt A 'Big Second Term Priority,' McEnany Says

No surprise, eh ? Hopefully *knock on wood* he won't get a chance to reduce it !

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said during an interview Wednesday that President Trump plans to make addressing the ballooning national debt a “big second term priority” — but offered scant details as to how the president planned to reduce the deficit.

In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, McEnany was asked what Trump’s plan was for reducing the deficit, after the Congressional Budget Office estimated last week the federal budget reached a record deficit of $3 billion in August, amid increased spending during the pandemic.

McEnany said she had recently spoken to Trump, who said the debt was going to be a “big second term priority of his.”

The president “wants to see unprecedented growth” in his second term, McEnany said, before praising Trump for building the “hottest economy in modern history once” before the pandemic hit.

Woman votes topless after being told to take off anti-Trump shirt at NH polling place

A New Hampshire woman voting in the state’s Tuesday primary election voted topless after she was told that she couldn’t wear a shirt criticizing President Trump to cast her ballot.

Exeter Town Moderator Paul Scafidi said the woman walked into a voting location Tuesday wearing a t-shirt that read “McCain Hero, Trump Zero.” Scafidi said he told the woman that she could not wear a shirt featuring a political candidate while voting, the Portsmouth Herald reported.

The woman allegedly argued to Scafidi that another voter was wearing a shirt with an American flag on it. New Hampshire state law says that no person “shall distribute, wear, or post at a polling place any campaign material,” punishable by up to a $1,000 fine.

“I said, I’d rather she not,” Scafidi said. “But she took it off so fast, no one had time to react so the whole place just went, ‘Woah,’ and she walked away, and I let her vote. She could’ve just gone into the hallway and turned it inside-out.”

Jim Mattis reportedly slept in his clothes to be ready for North Korea's missile launches

Former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis slept in his clothes because of North Korea's missile launches amid the US's rocky relations with the country in 2017, according to a new book on the Trump administration.

The account comes from CNN's review of Bob Woodward's upcoming book, "Rage," which is scheduled for release on September 15.

According to the book, US-North Korean relations were fragile, and the potential for nuclear war was on the mind of the president's national security staff. Pyongyang, North Korea's capital, fired about two dozen missiles in 2017, including its highest-ever intercontinental ballistic missile, shortly after President Donald Trump took office.

As North Korean leader Kim Jong Un continued to conduct missile and nuclear tests, Trump warned the country of "fire and fury" if it threatened the US. The situation concerned Trump's national security team, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who said, "We never knew whether it was real or whether it was a bluff," according to the book.

Mass-Murderer-in-Chief has NOT denied he withheld information from the American people....

Republicans, time to force him to resign.

I wish he could go to Leavenworth for this for the rest of his life.

eta: Yes, I know the Republicans will do nothing, a futile dream of mine.

Mass-Murderer-in-Chief to hold presser very soon, will lie and gaslight constantly

I bet he says the tapes are forged and that Woodward is lying.

Photo of Manhattan and Twin Towers, Sept. 10, 2001

Trivial comments: I know architectural critics hated the Twin Towers (from my memory) but I liked them myself. I stayed just down the street from them in 1996.

The next day changed American life forever. So terrible so many had to die that day in NYC, at the Pentagon, in PA, and then in the wars ever since.

Funny video about New York, wait for punchline...
