Superintendent for Carroll ISD in Southlake, Tex. apologizes for Holocaust debacle

https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2021/10/15/holocaust-texas-school-books-opposing/

Lane Ledbetter, superintendent for Carroll ISD in Southlake, Tex., apologized late Thursday and acknowledged the authenticity of the recording.

“During the conversations with teachers, comments made were in no way to convey the Holocaust was anything less than a terrible event in history,” Ledbetter said in a statement posted to Facebook. “Additionally, we recognize there are not two sides of the Holocaust.”

Peddy did not immediately respond to requests for comment early Friday. A spokesperson with the school district shared the statement posted on social media when reached by The Washington Post.

Books on Holocaust should be balanced with 'opposing' views, school leader tells teachers

FULL COVID vaccination rates: Florida up to 58.5%; Vermont at 70.3% and WV at 40.7%

Be sure to click the table at the very top of the columns to order by full vaccination.

At least FL is increasing the full vaccination rate very slowly.

SOUTHLAKE, Texas — A top administrator with the Carroll Independent School District in Southlake advised teachers last week that if they have a book about the Holocaust in their classroom, they should also offer students access to a book from an “opposing” perspective, according to an audio recording obtained by NBC News.

Gina Peddy, the Carroll school district’s executive director of curriculum and instruction, made the comment Friday afternoon during a training session on which books teachers can have in classroom libraries. The training came four days after the Carroll school board, responding to a parent’s complaint, voted to reprimand a fourth grade teacher who had kept an anti-racism book in her classroom.

A Carroll staff member secretly recorded the Friday training and shared the audio with NBC News.

“Just try to remember the concepts of [House Bill] 3979,” Peddy said in the recording, referring to a new Texas law that requires teachers to present multiple perspectives when discussing “widely debated and currently controversial” issues. “And make sure that if you have a book on the Holocaust,” Peddy continued, “that you have one that has an opposing, that has other perspectives.”

“How do you oppose the Holocaust?” one teacher said in response.

“Believe me,” Peddy said. “That’s come up.

President Biden: Trump a "f******g asshole" for Trump leaving "golf toys" at White House

Note: Yes, I realize this is a few weeks old. I had not seen it, maybe others as well.

https://www.businessinsider.com/biden-swore-about-trump-over-toys-white-house-2021-9

President Joe Biden was apparently not fond of the personal impressions his predecessor left on the White House, according to "Peril," a new book by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.

He referred to former President Donald Trump as a "fucking asshole" over the "golf toys" he left at the White House.

"Trump's existence permeated the White House, even the residence. One night, Biden wandered into a room where a huge video screen covered the wall. To relax, Trump used to upload programs to virtually play the world's most famous golf courses," Woodward and Costa write. "'What a fucking asshole,' Biden once said as he surveyed the former president's golf toys."

Biden finds the White House a cold place to reside, the book says and privately began calling it "the tomb," the book says. The president did emphasize to aides and friends that the staff at the White House were great, it adds.

"Died because of the vaccine" ... Is there rigorous proof that patients have died ONLY because of...

the vaccine ("the vaccine", meaning all the ones out there) ?

I saw this meme on social media, and yes I could have posted this in Propaganda Debunking, but I figured this was a better group.

I know I could do an exhaustive Google/Bing/internet search, but I figured someone here had the answer at hand quickly.

Is there any validity to this ? I know there have been side effects, some more serious. I know there is an allergy for some to certain ingredients.

But death ? From "the vaccine" alone ?

So far, I am only seeing anecdotal reports. If a patient or patients have died ONLY because of the vaccine and not underlying conditions, then I will accept that "the vaccine" can be a legitimate though extraordinarily rare cause of death.

Thanking you in advance for your patience,

Steve

This is not to say that there aren’t inherent flaws with the VAERS system. As we have previously reported, the national vaccine safety monitoring system accepts reports of adverse events after vaccination but it does not establish a cause-and-effect relationship between symptoms and a vaccine. It’s a public reporting tool — not a vaccine death roster.

“VAERS collects data on any adverse event following vaccination, be it coincidental or truly caused by a vaccine. The report of an adverse event to VAERS is not documentation that a vaccine caused the event,” noted the DHHS.

But time and again, fabricated and dubious VAERS reports have been at the center of fear-mongering cries to stir opposition against vaccines. And while healthcare providers are required by law to report to VAERS, anyone can file a report. Just because an adverse reaction is listed in the system does not mean that it is legitimate or has been evaluated by medical professionals. (Knowingly filing a false VAERS report is a violation of federal law punishable by fine and imprisonment.)

Despite claiming to have evidence to prove that 45,000 individuals died within three days of receiving their COVID-19 vaccine, our investigation did not reveal a legitimate source to suggest that such allegations are factual. And because our own query into the VAERS system revealed 5,000 deaths following — but potentially unrelated to — COVID-19 vaccination, we rate this claim as “False.”

and this:

If Your Time is short

According to the CDC, there is no evidence that COVID-19 vaccines have caused any deaths in the U.S.

snip

And no evidence has established that a COVID-19 vaccine authorized in the U.S. caused any deaths, let alone hundreds of thousands.

Handy website which converts audio to other audio, video to audio, other formats: cloudconvert.com

https://cloudconvert.com/

It is free to use, at first. If you do a LOT of converting (in my case, from mpg and mp4 and mkv, etc to mp3), they ask you to set up a free account. If you keep using it, they ask you to pay. You get 500 minutes of conversion time for $9. Not bad, to me, if you need to convert a lot.
