FSogol's JournalLOL, Even Mark Tatulli's "Lio" comes out against Trump
Two side effects of the recent change
MIRT's hands are really tied. We just got a MIRT team notification and have no way of seeing the post. Is the person a MI? Impossible to tell. Other than banning someone's whose first post is obvious racist trolling, MIRT no longer tools to do its job. MIRT is rendered pointless.
Secondly, on a jury, too little is shown of the discussion to be sure of how to vote. I realize you wanted to remove user names, primary support, and group from the equation, but we are left little to judge other than the most obvious infractions. IMO, the recent civility here is from having so many disrupters with 10+ posts in "flagged for review limbo" and not due to the new jury system.
Irish fans are charming their way through Euro 2016 with song and good deeds
Elsewhere in Bordeaux, a large group of Irish fans was huddling in a tunnel to stay out of a downpour when French police showed up to move them along. Rather than a tense standoff ensuing, the group broke into more good-natured singing while very much behaving itself (certainly by soccer-fan standards). Going far beyond mere good behavior were some other Irish fans, who actually engaged in some impromptu trash collection all for the boys in green, of course. Even the mayor of Bordeaux praised his towns visitors.

Any GOP member who endorses Trump should have their careers ended.
Whenever they attempt to run for office, the 1st question should be, "how can you be qualified for office since you endorsed Trump?"
And every single follow up question should be, "But you endorsed Trump."
Repeat, "but you endorsed Trump."
The Paul Ryan's, Chris Christies', and Marco Rubio's of the world shouldn't be able to slink away from the upcoming Trump shit-derecho.

How Ken Burns built his blistering attack on Donald Trump
Shortly after stating the principles that have made him a wildly popular and influential interpreter of some of the most difficult moments in U.S. history, it became clear that Burns was reiterating this idea because he was about to depart from it. The speech that followed contained plenty of good life advice and affirmations of the communitarian ideals that have informed Burnss work. And in addition to hitting the requisite marks, Burns launched a sharp and sweeping attack on Donald Trumps campaign for the presidency that placed the GOP front-runner in a tradition that includes some of the ugliest impulses in U.S. political history.

But, Burns warned, what makes Trump especially dangerous is the convergence of these tendencies in a single candidate.
