Flynn contacted GOP Mueller critic while cooperating with special counsel
Source: CNN
Washington (CNN)While he was cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn contacted at least one member of Congress who was publicly criticizing the special counsel probe, according to messages obtained by CNN.
Flynn sent Twitter direct messages to Rep. Matt Gaetz, encouraging the Florida Republican to "keep the pressure on." It's not clear if Flynn sent additional messages to other lawmakers.
"You stay on top of what you're doing. Your leadership is so vital for our country now. Keep the pressure on," Flynn wrote in an April 2018 message to Gaetz, which was obtained by CNN.
On the evening Flynn sent the message to Gaetz, the lawmaker had appeared on Fox Business' "Lou Dobbs Tonight," where he criticized the Mueller investigation.

SCOOP: Republican-led Senate Intel Committee subpoenas Donald Trump Jr. over Russia matters.
https://twitter.com/jonathanvswan/status/1126216607133573127
The Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed Donald Trump Jr. to answer questions about his previous testimony before Senate investigators in relation to the Russia investigation, sources with direct knowledge told Axios.
Why it matters: It's the first congressional subpoena that we know about of one of President Trump's children. The subpoena sets up a fight that's unprecedented in the Trump era: A Republican committee chair pit against the Republican president's eldest son.
It's also a sign that the Russia investigations in Congress aren't over despite the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe and despite Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell saying it's time to move on from the Russia probe.
A Senate Intelligence Committee spokesperson told Axios: "We do not discuss the details of witness engagements with the Committee. Throughout the investigation, the Committee has reserved the right to recall witnesses for additional testimony as needed, as every witness and witness counsel has been made aware."

There were 2 Mueller letters? Developing story from NYT
Mueller Pushed Twice for Barr to Release Report's SummariesSource: New York Times
WASHINGTON The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, pushed Attorney General William P. Barr twice to release more of his investigative findings in late March after Mr. Barr outlined the inquirys main conclusions in a letter to Congress, citing a gap between Mr. Barrs interpretation and Mr. Muellers report, according to a letter released on Wednesday.
The letter, from Mr. Mueller, revealed deep concern about how Mr. Barr handled the initial release of the special counsels findings.
Mr. Muellers office first informed the Justice Department of their concerns on March 25, a day after Mr. Barr released his letter clearing Mr. Trump but declined to release the special counsels findings themselves.
We communicated that concern to the department on the morning of March 25, Mr. Mueller said in a second letter to Mr. Barr two days later. There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation.

Here it is: Letter Special Counsel Mueller sent to AG Barr
https://twitter.com/AlexNBCNews/status/1123583403121680385
Rick Wilson: There's some bad blood in the water for this to be leaking now.
The Mueller graf in my new piece was added literally seconds after it posted and seconds before we went to press, and the more I contemplate the leak, the more interesting I find it.
Ask yourself why this is leaking now, kids.
There's some bad blood in the water.
AG Barr exposed for lying to the US Senate.
I note with interest AG Barrs 4/10 Senate testimony.
Q: Did Bob Mueller support your conclusion?
A: I dont know whether Bob Mueller supported my conclusion.
Now it appears that Mueller objected in this 3/27 letter.
