A mom's post about a Halloween costume is going viral on Facebook. Thank you, Target!

By Laura Willard

Jen Kroll got pretty excited when she saw a recent Target ad.
No, it wasn't because of the "buy one, get one half off" sweater deal. It wasn't even because flannel sheets were 15% off.

Nope, not at all. (Though, flannel sheets do sound nice...)

Here's what made her week: a photo of an Elsa Halloween costume.
The ad meant so much to her that she posted it on Facebook and had this to say:

Do you see what Jen saw? The model sporting the dress worn by Elsa of "Frozen" fame has arm crutches!

Yes, that's a big deal. Especially for Jen because here's a photo of her incredibly cute daughter, who just so happens to love Elsa:

I mean, seriously. Can you even with the adorableness?! Photos by Jen Kroll, used with permission.

FULL wonderful story at link.

Dear Democratic Underground for Bernie... signed Bernie Sanders US Senator

This has been sitting in my email since Oct. 2. I missed it thanks to my dementia. I'm truly sorry for the delay. Please forgive me.

This is for every DUer that Supports Bernie. This isn't just for donations as you can plainly see.

Handing out flyers, hosting little get togethers, phone calls, word of mouth, baking cookies, etc.

We also have three contacts on Bernie's upper staff for communication.

You ALL earned this.

An apology to the DU, Hillary & her group, and BainsBane (updated with video)

If I left anyone out it isn't intentional.

I also thank the many DUers that offered support and understand just how FTD works on the mind.

The mail was very helpful too.

Somehow Monday I got the idea the NRA post had been debunked. It got to me.

It now seems I was in error.

As somebody pointed out this will happen again. I have no way of predicting when.

Not so long ago I sent an email to a DUer. Should it ever become public the DU would more than likely would have to ban me. It was that bad. As far as I know it has never been shared with anyone. That DUer is a class act.

It may be a day or two before I start posting. After the episodes end I get very depressed.

FTD awareness week got a lot of mileage out of me. I doubt there is a DUer now that isn't aware.

Again a sincere apology to the DU, Hillary & her group, BainsBane, and anyone I didn't include.

I need a little DU help please

This is the first photo we took of Dug right after we rescued him in June of 2010. The previous family moved out. They left him behind with no food, water, or hope. He has come a long way since. He was lucky the landlord was checking the property.

Dug will be in this for the next week. Please consider voting for our Dug.

And please help keep this kicked.

Chrissy Amphlett Lost Her Battle Against Breast Cancer — And Turned Her Hit Single “I Touch Myself”

The Breast Cancer Site is a place where supporters and survivors come together to help fight breast cancer. n 1990, an Australian group called the Divinyls released a song called “I Touch Myself” that celebrated female sexuality − and it quickly became a huge hit. So when lead singer Chrissy Amphlett was diagnosed with breast cancer, she wanted to make this song the new anthem for breast cancer awareness.

It’s been a year since Chrissy lost her battle with breast cancer, and now ten of Australia’s best singers are helping send Chrissy’s message: Connie Mitchell, Deborah Conway, Kate Cerebrano, Katie Noonan, Little Pattie, Megan Washington, Olivia Newton-John, Sarah Blasko, Sarah McLeod, and Suze DeMarchi.

30 days ago DU for Bernie was averaging $3,000 a month on $12,000. What I thought was an out of reach goal for this month was $20,000. I set that amount about a week ago. We had that Monday night.

Bernie is now OVER $21,000 before the midnight deadline for the FEC!

I can't tell you how shocked I am that DU for Bernie has raised $9,000 in a months time!

$21,113 / 640 = $32.9875 per donation. That is more than $10 over Bernie's national donation average.

Our new monthly average is $4,200 a month!

It's time I shared a secret with you. Back in June when I made the trip to see Bernie, marym625 made a simulated check (8.5x11) and emailed it to me. It was for $4,000 to Bernie from the DU Bernie Group drawn on Act Blue. Because Bernie didn't know about it in advance, it was decided not to surprise him in front of the public. He wasn't handed the check until he got in the car by his manager. The photo below is about the time he was learning about the check!

Bernie and his campaign check in on the DU from time to time. Wait till Bernie learns about this.

Feel the Bern!
