Putin's Puppet Assad Uses Nerve Gas---Trump Blames Obama, When He Should Be Blaming Himself

Assad knew better than to use nerve gas openly on Obama's watch. He must be feeling pretty sure of himself now that Putin's other puppet, Trump is in charge of the US. That makes Trump the weak one. He is so weak that the entire U.S. military arsenal could not deter a minor middle eastern despot, Assad from committing a war crime--because Assad knew that Trump would never dare retaliate. Putin won't let him.

So, tell me, is the world a safer place with the Draft Dodger in Chief in Charge? He is pathetic. Can't do anything but try to blame someone else for his own weakness.

Donald "The Don" Trump: Rule By and For Organzied Criminals

Forget rule " by and for the people". We have got rule by and for organized crime. A federal attorney general getting up your criminal ass? No problem. Donald "The Don" Trump will fire him. Just give him money and kiss his ring, and he will make all your legal troubles vanish.

Trump Base, do you really, truly think that this is what is good for your country? What happens when the criminal who sells your child the lethal dose of heroin asks Trump for a favor? Or the bankster who steals your pension? Those organized criminals are not going to be deterred by the Trump bumper sticker on your truck. If you have money--or a daughter that they want--they will grab it, the way that Trump grabs pussy. Because they can.

William Blake (from beyond the grave) on Trump

." Lo, a shadow of horror is risen

In Eternity! Unknown, unprolific!

Self-closd, all-repelling: what Demon

Hath form'd this abominable void

This soul-shudd'ring vacuum?--Some said

"It is TRUMP"'

snip

7." Lo! I unfold my darkness: and on

This rock, place with strong hand the Book

Of eternal brass, written in my solitude.

8. Laws of peace, of love, of unity:

Of pity, compassion, forgiveness.

Let each chuse one habitation:

His ancient infinite mansion:

One command, one joy, one desire,

One curse, one weight, one measure

One King, one God, one Law."

Tom Paine (From Beyond the Grave) on Trump (not a Tweet)

"The powers of governing still remaining in the hands of TRUMP, he will have a negative over the whole legislation of this continent. And as TRUMP hath shewn himself such an inveterate enemy to liberty, and discovered such a thirst for arbitrary power; is he, or is he not, a proper man to say to these colonies, “You shall make no laws but what I please.” And is there any inhabitant in America so ignorant, as not to know, that according to what is called the present constitution, that this continent can make no laws but what TRUMP gives leave to; and is there any man so unwise, as not to see, that (considering what has happened) TRUMP will suffer no law to be made here, but such as suit his purpose. We may be as effectually enslaved by the want of laws in America, as by submitting to laws made for us by TRUMP. After matters are made up (as it is called) can there be any doubt, but the whole power of TRUMP will be exerted, to keep this continent as low and humble as possible? Instead of going forward we shall go backward, or be perpetually quarrelling or ridiculously petitioning.—We are already greater than TRUMP wishes us to be, and will he not hereafter endeavour to make us less? To bring the matter to one point. Is the power who is jealous of our prosperity, a proper power to govern us? Whoever says No to this question is an independant, for independancy means no more, than, whether we shall make our own laws, or whether TRUMP, the greatest enemy this continent hath, or can have, shall tell us “there shall be no laws but such as I like.”'

If Dems Do NOT Block Gosuck, Trump Will Not Be Ousted

At least not until 2019, and if/when Dems take over Congress, it will take a year at minimum to impeach Trump. Assuming the GOP does not block every attempt to get rid of their man.

Do you want two to four more years of Bandit King Trump and all the little Trump princes and princesses? If so, then by all means vote to confirm SCOTUS nominee Gosuck. Because the GOP establishment will hold its nose and put up with Trump's crimes and antics if they think that he can accomplish things for them like installing a law breaking Big Business supporting Justice to replace Scalia.

This nomination is much bigger for Trump than overturning the ACA. If he can not get an ultra-conservative Justice on the court, then his own party has every incentive to dump him. If he can get Gosuck on the Court then there is an excellent chance his party will (grudgingly) tolerate him. And obstruct the Russian investigation.

Even newspapers like the WaPo that hate Trump are all in for Gosuck, because he is Big Business's candidate. If the GOP can not deliver Gosuck, Big Business will pressure the GOP to replace Trump with someone who can. The GOP is all about Citizens United money. Take away the dollars and they lose their raison d'etre.

If Dems fillibuster, the worst that can happen is the Senate goes nuclear--and Dems increase their chances of retaking both Houses of Congress in 2018. Plus, the Dems can then turn around and use the nuclear option themselves--on Trump. And if Senate Republicans decide not to go nuclear it will be a sign that they are fed up with Trump and won't do anything to save his sorry ass presidency, in which case his presidency is doomed.

What the Reviewers Will Not Tell You About Why they Hate "Ghost in the Shell."

If you love the Ghost in the Shell franchise, if you have read the manga, watched the television show and seen the films--particularly the first two films, the original "Ghost in the Shell" and the even better than the original follow up "Ghost in the Shell: Innocence" and if you have been following the recent pre-prequel material in which we begin to learn that being the world's first fully robotic cyborg is not all fun and games, then you will love "Ghost in the Shell" the live action film. It is 110% homage to the source material. On the other hand, if you think the Major is "hot" and if you just love all the "hot" poses and artwork and ads for the animation, you will be left disappointed--and un-aroused---by the live action film. Because the Major as played by Scarlett Johansson is not hot. She is lethal. Do not expect any of the fan boys writing reviews of the film to tell you that they were disappointed by how very un-sexy the major was in this film. Instead, they will complain about her "characterization." But what really has their panties in a twist is the fact that when she dives naked, she does not bounce or jiggle. And why should she? She is Robocop, not Baywatch. This is a great film. I loved it! While it diverges from the GITS cannon, so do many of the sequels. That's what is so fun about film adaptations of comics and manga. You can retell the story over and over changing things as you go along, exploring new aspects on the familiar story. And as you watch, keep in mind that anime is created for one reason---to sell manga. In these days of Disney comic book hero extravaganzas people may think that comics are being written to turn into films, but no, the comics are still what comes first and last. The art of writing fiction that engages the right and left brain at once is a great art, and should never be under-rated. And if you really want to appreciate comic to film adaptations, you MUST read the comics (Witness the way people reacted to the "Watchmen" film.) Otherwise, it's like watching the film "Ulysses" without ever reading the book.

"Hot" Major

Not "Hot" Major

PS The young man sitting next to me at the film who said he had never seen any of the GITS anime said he liked the film a lot. Would be curious to see how many people who do not know the source material like it better than the fan boys (and gals)? There is a reason so much manga/anime/comics is full of ecchi (Japanese for bouncing tits and panty shots). It's because that is what sells product to horny young folks.

The Rule of the Lawless

Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Tom Price abused his power to pump up the price of a stock he owned. FBI chief Comey abused his power to aid his favorite political candidate in the last presidential election.Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Nunes has been abusing his power to leak information to the target(Trump) of a House investigation.Trump's former National Security Adviser, Flynn was an (unregistered) agent of foreign powers acting in their best interest when he was supposed to keep America secure.Trump's pick for labor secretary, Andy Puzner was a wife beater, wage stealer and employed an undocumented immigrant. Donald Trump boasted about abusing his power as a wealthy man to grope women and stare at underage naked female flesh. All of them broke the law, the single law which now governs the Land of the Lawless--

They got caught!

That's right, gentle readers. There is only One Law in the Trump administration. Whatever you do, make sure that they can not prosecute you. Period.

Now consider what this means for our country. The man in charge, a self styled Bandit King and his Band of Merry Robbers will do literally anything they want to do, without regard for the law, the health and welfare of other people and the security of their country and the freedom of the press. Trump's Self Styled Outlaw base of methe abusing/tax cheating/wife beating/gun toting/cross burning/cable stealing and proud of it Americans will cheer every time their selected leader and his Band of Merry Robbers get away with criminal activity. The only time the Base will gets its panties in a twist is when they think that their Bandit King has cheated them---i.e. if they lose their health insurance or their job or their college scholarship. Because Trump promised the residents of Trailer Park USA that he would look after them (in the old fashioned Mafia don meaning of the words "look after them." He would take the money of hard working immigrants and Jews and Black and Natives and law abiding Americans and give it to lazy ass criminals. That is the American Dream According to Trump 2016. And in order to fulfill that promise, Trump's base knew--no, make that expected their man to break a whole lot of laws.

So, do not be surprised when they circle they wagons around their crime lord every time the press reveals that a new law has been broken by a new player. The Base is good with law breaking. They love their man for law breaking. He is doing all the things that they would do if they had the opportunity. He is their Bonnie and Clyde, Pretty Boy Floyd and Jesse James all rolled into one. And, if Trump ever decides to declare martial law to shut down the federal and state law enforcers who threaten his criminal empire, his Base will be out there with their guns, shooting and looting and saluting the Rule of the Lawless.

And no, this is not hyperbole. Check out these statistics on the rise of right wing hate crimes that has occurred in the last three months:

https://www.thenation.com/article/donald-trumps-rise-has-coincided-with-an-explosion-of-hate-groups/

Two Indian immigrants in Kansas shot by a man hurling anti-Muslim insults. Bomb threats and vandalism menacing Jewish community centers. Children bullying classmates of color with pro-Trump taunts. With reports like these erupting across the country, you wouldn’t be alone in suspecting that America was becoming a more hateful place, or that our current administration might have something to do with it. But now we also have some statistics to illuminate the apparent feedback loop between Pennsylvania Avenue policies and Main Street violence.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) annual census of “extremist” groups, “The number of hate groups in the United States rose for a second year in a row in 2016 as the radical right was energized by the candidacy of Donald Trump.” The number of explicitly anti-Muslim groups has nearly tripled since 2015 alone, to over 100 nationwide. There has also been a spike in reported incidents of “hate” violence, including harassment and physical assault, alongside rising anti-Muslim hostile behavior and bullying in schools. Of nearly 1,100 “bias incidents,” SPLC reports, “37 percent of them directly referenced either President-elect Trump, his campaign slogans, or his infamous remarks about sexual assault.”

If you still find yourself puzzled by the strange, self defeating behavior of Trump's Base, I'll bet you have not read Bandits by Eric Hobsbawn. Well, you should. If you really, truly want to restore the rule of law to this country, you need to understand the criminals who have seized power. If you try to follow the traditional crime fighting rule book, these bandits will evade capture and prosecution every time as they retreat to the hills/desert/caves where their Base skulks, cheering them on.

Is ICE Targetting Immigrant Business Owners for Deportation in Hopes of Getting Bribes?

Someone has to ask it. There have been too many cases like this one recently. Long time resident immigrant business owner (employees 20 workers) with no criminal history at all (except overstaying his Visa) with a US born wife and three US born children suddenly hauled off to jail and threatened with deportation to a country he left twenty years ago.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2017/03/25/she-thought-trump-would-deport-bad-hombres-instead-hes-deporting-her-law-abiding-husband/?hpid=hp_hp-cards_hp-card-national%3Ahomepage%2Fcard&utm_term=.204fc74dc7da

No way this is a "bad hombre." However, he is an hombre with some money. Which begs the question--how many of these hard working immigrants are getting the shake down?

It is time someone started putting wires on immigrants during their interactions with immigration agents. Better yet, let's do a little undercover journalism, have reporters pretend to be immigrants with assets. I will bet that it will take less than a week to catch someone in federal law enforcement demanding money. Because Trump's self styled outlaw base thinks that shaking down hard working business owners for money is a legitimate way to make a living if they can get away with it. And now, thanks to their Bandit King Trump, they can get away with it.

Donald Trump--making America safe for con men, loan sharks, heroin dealers and rapists.

Why Do the Koch Brothers Hate Ryan and Trump?

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/22/politics/kochs-reserve-fund-health-care/

With just a few days to go until the (politically) crucial vote to eliminate the Affordable Care Act and replace it with Affordable Care Lite, the Koch Brothers muddied the waters by offering millions in campaign support to any GOP legislator who voted “no.” How many voted “no” for the money? We will never know. What we do know is that the attack on Trump-care was a direct attack on both Trump and House Speaker Ryan---who is now facing pressure from his own party to step down from his position as House Speaker and as third in line to be president…

Is this what it’s all about? VP Pence is the Koch Brother’s man. Bought and sold. The Koch Brothers would like nothing better than to oust the unpredictable, likely-to-go-rogue Trump and replace him with their own (bought and sold) president.

But, despite his See No Evil/Hear No Evil game, Pence may not be as out of the loop on Russia/Trump as he claims to be. He may go down with Trump. In which case Speaker Ryan gets to be president. Does Speaker Ryan want to be president? Uh..yeah. At least according to this campaign button from 2016.

As House Speaker, any attempt to force Trump out via impeachment or (more likely) threat of impeachment will go through him. Everyone except Trump—and that includes most of the GOP and the Koch Brothers and maybe even Melania—wants Trump out of Washington. But, as Speaker, Ryan has the power to include Pence in the eviction from the White House order. And, if he does it, he gets to be president!
The Koch Brothers do not want Paul Ryan to be president. The Koch Brothers want Mike Pence to be president. That means they want the House Speaker to be someone who will stand up for Pence’s right to be the Koch Brand President.

Will Paul Ryan get the message? Or, will the Koch Brothers have to replace him with someone with less ambition? This, my friends is the real reason the Koch Brothers sabotaged the Affordable Care Act repeal.

The Republican Party---shooting itself in the foot (and sometimes the face) for over a century!

Medicaid Block Grants and Citizens United Will Be the Death--Literally---Of Trump's America

Get ready, Trump supporters. You are about to see your income plunge, your medical (and legal)expenses rise and your family torn apart. By the man who claimed he would improve upon the Affordable Care Act. How will it happen?

Medicaid Block Grants and Citizens United.

Why does the GOP have such a hard on for "Medicaid block grants"? The same young women will need obstetric care, the same old people will need nursing home care, the same indigent-due-to-chronic-illness patients will need ongoing medical care so that they do not die in the streets where Baron Trump might see them and get nightmares from the experience---

But that is common sense. Forget common sense. In the world of the GOP, health care spending is not intended to keep human/people healthy. Health care spending exists to keep corporation/people healthy. Indeed, all public spending is intended to enrich the already rich---call it a Poor Tax, except that in the United States the lower 99% are considered "poor" and therefore expendable.

Give states like Alabama a big chunk of cash and tell them "Spend this the way you want" and lobbyists will immediately line up at the door of the state's (GOP) officials handing out money in exchange for even larger amounts of public money.

Here is Medicaid spending as it is now.

http://kff.org/medicaid/state-indicator/distribution-of-medicaid-spending-by-service/?currentTimeframe=0&sortModel=%7B%22colId%22:%22Location%22,%22sort%22:%22asc%22%7D

How will that change under block grants? Here is a list of spending by health care lobbyists by industry:

http://www.beckershospitalreview.com/finance/top-20-healthcare-lobbyists-by-spending.html

Number one (no surprise) is the American Medical Association. Yes, doctors will continue to get paid--or no one will make any money from Medicaid because they control the prescription pads. Now scroll on down the list. Note that Big Pharm spends a lot more lobbying each year than doctors, if you lump all the companies together. Big Pharm hates Medicaid at the moment because it negotiates for lower prices. Combine Citizens United with Medicaid Block Grants, and suddenly a much larger chunk of our health care spending will go towards paying for $700 Epipens. Leaving less for pregnant women's prenatal care and Grandma's nursing home--two things which Trump's base rely upon.

Health insurers spend a lot on lobbying, too. If red states get Medicaid Block Grants, a big chunk of money will go to insurers for "administrative expenses"--which is code for "doing nothing." Corporate welfare.

Hospitals are on the list. They want to get paid for emergency room care. They will gladly fork over Citizens United money to Republican legislators.

Note who does not have a lobbyist. Your daughter, Darlene, pregnant, uninsured, because she did not think she needed insurance--until the pregnancy test said "positive.". Your mother who went to the nursing home after her stroke. Your son who suffers from bipolar disorder. If the Republicans have their way, your grandchild will be born two months early with cerebral palsy, your wife will have to quit work to stay home with your mother---plunging your family into poverty----and your son will be receiving his health care in prison when he runs out of meds and does something crazy to the neighbor's thirteen year old daughter. The neighbor's girl won't have to worry about obstetrical care, because you'll be paying for that---and child support---in order to get the law to be lenient with your boy. Who wouldn't be in this mess if Alabama had not cut off his psychiatric benefits and sent the money to the U.K. to pay for overpriced Epipens.

Meanwhile, blue states will continue to allocate resources where they are needed, because Democratic elected officials answer to Democratic votes. Blue state daughters will have healthy babies, blue state grannies will have nursing home care, and blue state sons with mental illness will stay on their meds and out of jail. And (because some things never change) in two years, your local Republican politician will get on television and tell you that the reason you are poor, looking after an elderly parent and a disabled grandchild and visiting your son in jail on the weekends is because some (non white) Washington Fat Cat stole your (white) legacy.

What was that? You thought "Medicaid Block Grants" meant that your state would spend money on health care only on white people? Silly rabbit. Your Republican legislator wants you to be poor, hopeless and angry. Only a poor, hopeless, angry person would fall for Trump's lies.

Better luck in your next life.
